Mystic Ranger Sword of the Arcane Order Build Question.

What do you do after level 10? Your casting just capped at 5th level spells, and you can't Sublime Chord your way into full casting. You are a divine caster so no Ur-Priest, and most melee only Prcs are not very good. What are the best moves after this?

I think Nar Demonbinder is the accepted path.

Some options:

Nar Demonbinder. You get higher level spells but they're from a highly specialized list. Also a summoning focused prestige class, so not one of the traditional Ranger playstyles.
Hellreaver (Fiendish Codex II). It's a decent prestige class for fighting evil things, again though it doesn't capitalize on the Ranger strengths.
Swordsage or Warblade. Probably the best option. Your 10 Ranger levels give you an Initiator Level of 5, so when you take levels in a martial adept class you'll have a higher initiator level than a 1st level martial adept would. Mystic Ranger 10 / Martial Adept 10 has an Initiator Level of 15 and can use 8th level maneuvers. The Tiger Claw discipline has good synergy with the Ranger Two-Weapon Fighting Combat Style. Mystic Ranger 10 / Warblade 5 / Bloodclaw Master 5 puts more focus on Two Weapon Fighting and is a good fit.

You can combo it with Wildshape Range and Shooting Star sub levels. From here you can go Master of Many Forms or Primeval if you want to be an infiltrator or melee monster. These are also standard choices.

You could nab Alternate Source Spell, treat your 3rd level slots as Arcane at -1CL and then go Swiftblade for your last 10 levels. The lost caster progression really doesn't bother you much at all, seeing as you have all your spell levels already.

You can use the above trick to enter ANY PRC that doesn't require above 5thlvl Wizard spells. This includes Initiate of the Seven Fold Veil, just because you can.

Basically, you are a high powered Gish half your career, and from there you just spin off into whatever melee/caster/Gish PRC you want.
