Hi all. For a low-powered IRL game, someone who is rather new to DnD requested a PrC that would complement his character. He's playing an archery-focused Ranger suffering from a vaguely defined curse of some sort that ties him to Death itself. So a few of us threw this together and would like the experts on this forum to take a quick look through to point out any major, glaring flaws in its design. We know it's by no means perfect, but here it is. Thanks for your time!

Belongs to Death (Ex): A Bloodsoaked Arrow of Everlasting Torment is cursed by Death itself. As such, he lives his life in both this life and the next. As he advances in the class, he becomes more like the dead and less like the living. If a BAET is killed and Resurrected (using any effect except True Resurrection), there is a 10% chance per class level that he returns with the Gheden Template applied to his normal race. If this happens, replace the Belongs to Death class features with the template; the two do not stack.

At 1st level, a BAET gains some of the infinite reservoir of stamina that Undead have. He gains Toughness, Diehard, and Endurance as bonus feats. He also gains Fortification 25%.

At 3rd level, the BAET’s has his mind protected against assaults. He gains immunity to Fear and Confusion effects and Darkvision to a range of 60ft. His Intelligence score permanently decreases by 2 as a result.

At 5th level, the BAET’s physical body begins to look dead (or manifests the curse in some other way, subject to player and DM approval). He gains a +4 on Intimidate checks, but takes a his Charisma score permanently decreases by 4. He also takes a -4 penalty on Disguise checks.

At 7th level, the BAET’s body ages more slowly and becomes generally tougher as it transforms. He ages at one-fourth the normal speed for his race, gains Fortification 50% (this replaces the fortification gained at first level), and gains a +2 on saves vs poison and paralysis.

At 10th level, the BAET completes his transformation. He is now scalded by holy water (taking 1d4 damage per dose), no longer takes damage nonlethal damage, is immune to stunning and death from massive damage, and is immune to energy drain.

Negative Energy Affinity: The BAET takes half damage from negative energy attacks, such as that given by the Inflict Light Wounds spell. If he makes the saving throw granted by these spells, he instead takes no damage. In addition, the BAET receives only half healing from Cure spells. Finally, Inflict Light Wounds, Inflict Moderate Wounds, and Inflict Serious Wounds are added to the BAET’s spell list.

Killing Shot (Su): Once per day, the BAET may attempt a killing shot. He takes a full-round action to make a single ranged attack against an enemy, using all normal modifiers to hit. If the attack hits, the target must make a Fortitude Save with a DC equal to 10 + BAET’s Dex mod + ½ of class level or be slain instantly. The DC for this attack increases by one for every creature (Of CR greater than or equal to BAET’s HD-3) the BAET has slain that day, to a maximum bonus of the BAET’s class level. Even if the target makes the save, the attack still deals and extra 1d6 points of damage per class level. This is not a death effect, but it is precision damage. Therefore, creature immune to critical hits are immune to the killing power of this ability, but still take the extra damage. The BAET gains an additional use of this ability per day at 8th level.

For example, Karshak the Brutalizer, a Ranger 6/BAET 5 with 18 Dexterity, has slain four enemies so far today, when he finds himself facing his archenemy, Trynna, Paladin of Pelor. Karshak declares that he is using his Killing Shot, and makes a normal attack roll. His arrow strikes Trynna. She needs to make a Fortitude Save with a DC of 18. She fails, and is slain instantly. Had Karshak slain 12 enemies so far that day, the DC would have been 19 (as a BAET 5, the maximum bonus to the DC was +5). If Trynna had made her save, she would have taken damage equal to the normal amount dealt by Karshak plus an additional 5d6.

Deadly Aim (Ex): Beginning at 2nd level, the BAET can sacrifice accuracy for power when using a bow. When making a ranged attack, you can take a -1 penalty to your attack roll in exchange for +2 to your damage roll. At 4th, 7th, and 10th level, this penalty increases by -1 and the bonus increases by +2. You must choose to use this before making an attack roll, and its effects last until the beginning of your next turn. The bonus damage cannot apply to touch attack or attacks that do not deal hitpoint damage.

Perfect Accuracy (Ex): At 4th level, the BAET learns to aim for vital areas in his target’s body. He gains Improved Critical (Bows) as a bonus feat. Unlike the normal application of this feat, it stacks with all other threat-increasing effects (Except the feat Improved Critical).

Living Curse (SLA): Starting at 6th level, the BAET’s curse manifests itself in a number of ways.
At 6th, he gains access to the following Spell-Like Abilities, each usable 1/day (DCs are equal to 10 + ½ HD + Wis Mod): Bestow Curse, True Strike, Darkness, Inflict Moderate Wounds, and Inflict Serious Wounds.

At 8th level, the BAET can use each SLA an additional time per day (for a total of 2/daily).

Again, thanks for your time.

Seems pretty good. Why the Charisma penalty, though? Undead tend to have pretty average Charisma (or really high charisma for the incorporeal ones). I'd replace the ability modification with a -2 penalty to charisma-based interactions with non-undead, and an additional -4 for disguise.

Primarily, this was based on the Gheden template; it also imposes the penalty. Also, the Curse steadily make its host more... Dark? Grim? Evil? Something of that nature. Less charismatic.

The second part would have been clearer had fluff been posted along with this, I'm sure, but since it's meant for a character and to suit his specific needs, the fluff is incredibly specific.
