So for those of you who don't know, Soulfused Construct is from MoI and can be applied to any nonliving, nonintelligent construct. It has a level adjustment of +1. Level adjustment really only matters for players, with CR being the adjustment that the DM would use. So why bother putting in a LA? Or does this mean that I can take a golem, slap the Soulfused Construct template on there, and its playable?

It can only be used if the base construct already has an LA.

AFAIK, the only legal base for a Soulfused Construct PC is a creature with the Dustform template, from Sandstorm.
