Hey folks, I'm trying to help one of my players (who doesn't use forums). He is looking for a very specific music to play as backgroudn to his character. It's part of this episode of World war 2 the complete history chapter 1 (http://wn.com/world_war_2_-_the_complete_history_ep_1_%28_world_war_2_documen tary_%29) starts in 19:30 with the singing in the background. He'd like to find that track just without the narrator speaking, but can't seem to find it.

Anyone knows where this might be found/ how it can be done?

Thanks!

I'm afraid I don't have much for you, other than it was composed by Paul Farrer, and there doesn't seem to be a separate soundtrack release.

Here's his imdb page, though the official site for the documentary seems to be down: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0268404/

Sorry I don't have more for you!

Hi Kol Korran.

This is my first post. I too want to find this recording.

Sorry to say that I don't know anything about this haunting piece of music. The only solution I can suggest is to contact Paul Farrer. By email perhaps. I haven't found any contact info but I'm looking and will post here if I find it.

To me the lone voice is agonizingly lonely, innocent and yearning for relief from the horror and nightmare that was decending upon Europe. It is chilling, beautiful and perfectly used by Farrer. Is it an original by him?

I found Paul Farrer's website. He lists the documentary under his clients tab. You should be able to contact him through the "Contact" tab there.

Best of luck!

EDIT: The kid's voice (at 21:09 in the documentary) reminded me of something. The voice may have been ripped from parts of the Medieval: 2 Total War soundtrack, the first one that comes to mind is the latter half of the Amen track (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA1hZoBLrdY&list=PLBDCF86CFC0ECD39C&index=22#t=2m). The child's voice starts around 2:00, and the artist who wrote that piece was Jeff Van Dyck. Not exactly plagiarism, but I thought it was an interesting connection.
