So, I was looking in the monster manual, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out if beholders have to roll to hit with their eye beams, or if they just hit and the people have to make a save. How have you guys been playing it?

There is no attack roll. They auto-hit and force a save.

Think of a Beholder as a super intelligent death dealing disco ball, spinning slowly, shooting out random magical doom while Disco Inferno plays at 90db.

Fun fact - blinding a beholder pretty much turns it into a defenseless punching bag. I suppose it could still use its pathetic bite attack...

What if you use stunning strike on a death tyrant? ofc, he can't use his normal action. But can he use legendary actions while under the effect of a monk's stunning strike?

There's a thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?366424-Simple-Q-amp-A-D-amp-D-5-(by-RAW)-I/page40) for such questions.
