Three Man Party Help 3.PF

I'm going to be playing in a game that's starting at sixth level. We currently have a Soulknife, a Paladin, and someone who is REALLY new at this who doesn't know what she wants to play. What would be a relatively easy to play class that would round out the party? My gut says Sorcerer or Oracle, but I'm not exactly sure.

With that party makeup... what edition do you play?

How about a buff/utility-focused Bard or Skald? You're currently lacking an arcane caster and utility magic, and I don't like full casters, so that's my suggestion (I'm pretty hyped for Occult Adventures, because then we'll have a 6ths-casting analogue to every full-casting non-hybrid class except the Witch).

It's mostly Pathfinder, but some 3.5 is thrown in.
