"Down in that mine was the greatest Dwarven forge of all time...it produced all manner of wonders of war, before the Orcs attacked. When they did, it's said that the dwarven defenders were only stopped by the mass of Orc corpses pinning them down, and that when the Warlord captured them he had them flayed alive, and boiled in their own cauldrons of molten lead..."

Okay, so that's the hook. Abandoned Dwarven mine, secret treasures, sacked by the Orcs (who have taken control of the world). I just need suggestions for monsters.

I was thinking something along the lines of a Molten Lead Golem, or some sort of Tortured Spirit undead...but any and all ideas are welcome. I can work with the Core Books, plus MM 2, 3 and Fiend Folio, plus others if need be.

Well, this ought to be in Gaming if you want actual real out-of-a-book monsters, but:

Far Corners Of The World (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/fw) might help; they have Obsidian Oozes (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fw/20031123a) which might resemble your Molten Lead monsters, as well as Sickstone Golems (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fw/20021123a) and Golem Remnants (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fw/20041126a) (constructs who've long since been smashed and driven mad).
