Were Svirfneblin never given PC stats in 5e?

I could have SWORN besides the monster manual Svirfneblin and Durager were given stats for players to use as a race.

don't recall duergar, but svirfneblin are in the elemental evil player's handbook free PDF release (also in the not-free adventure path or whatever they called it).

duergar are mentioned in a short sidebar in the PHB in the dwarf section, but no stats given.
