Hello all!

So we're going to be switching to second set of characters in my current campaign soon and I have always yearned to walk around as a creature of the night. So here is my question, how can we create a reasonable vampire template while maintaining LA +2? That way I can buy the template off by level 9 and not be too worse for the wear.

I will be playing a Sorcerer whose goal is the hunt down other undead as penance for past misdeeds. He'll be a Sorcerer/Heartwarder. Things I'd like to accomplish would be keeping the d12 hit die, a CHA bonus, blood drain, and possibly work in features from vampire lord. Specifically being able to stay outside in sunlight.

Mighty playground, hear my plea! I must have something to present to my DM!

Edit: We usually get a substantial amount of gold in the beginning to buy an item that is special to our character. (Last time it was 11k for a level 1 PC.) What would you recommend for a sorcerer or if I gave up my gold what do you think I could potential bargain for on the template.

Necropolitan Half-Vampire sounds perfect for this. You don't even need protection from sunlight, since you never pick up the immunity in the first place.

Oh wow, that is a great way to use those templates. That'd accomplish everything I need... Well, then I suppose I have money to spend on an item. Cloak of Charisma? Haha.

Oh, another thing I would like to accomplish is gaining Diplomacy and Intimidate. Any good trick for that?

Dip a level of warlock to add them to your class skills and get a +6 bonus to them?

Here (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=709.0) is a homebrew vampire monster class that I use whenever I want to make one, to offer an alternative.

I went with bard, solely because EWP (Whip) was more important than intimidate.

That is really cool!

Put in your background that your bard grew up in Salkiria, and you can get EWP: Bola Flail as a bonus feat (Ghostwalk p. 141/errata).

Then I could bola the vampires I hunt!

*cough*

Don't know how reasonable mine is, though. But compared to Sorcerer levels, most anything doesn't really matter.

What about Dhampir (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/featured-races/arg-dhampir)? They're only half-vampire, but could work for an easy LA-free vampire. Possibly one who was somehow drained of their powers, and is forced to seek out class levels to get stronger?

I'm going to start at Dhampir/Necropolitan. That should be a good base...
