V's new familiar?

Looks like V might survive the battle.

Looks like V will be looking for a new familiar.

Soooo, what do people think V should get for a new familiar? I'd recommend a nice black cat this time.

Cats are nice, warm, furry, purr and if V got a cat it could eat that damn bird if it ever showed up again.

I hate to be a party pooper, but if V dismisses the familiar, V can't get a new one for a year and a day. So V's either stuck with an uppity raven, or will have no familiar at all for a year. And where's the comedic value in that?

Dude, last time I had a character with a familiar it was a displacer beast kitten, grew up to be VERY useful.

V should just go to the familiar store and exchange the raven and yes i know it's not d&d allowed but when did OOTS ever stick completely to the letter of the D&D rules?

The familiar isn't dead, it just decided not to throw its life away, since it has an moderate intelligence score and isn't a slave that can be commanded. It just said, "No", and flew the other way. It will be back later, alive, well, and still V's familiar.

If V dismissed the familiar, V would have to wait a year to get a new one.
