I vaguely recall a mechanic that extend's a spell's duration by one step (1 round/level->1 minuet/level->10 minuets/level->1 hour/level or something like that.)
now I recall having seen it somewhere, but truth is I can't recall where it was. Anyone have a clue? :smallbiggrin:

The only thing I can think of is either from a third party book (Mongoose Publishing's The Quintessential Elf) or something on the homebrew forums regarding a persistent spell retool. I don't think there's anything first party that does what you want.

That's what google told me, but I recall happening upon it once. I could be mistaken, but figured if it existed someone on the forums would remember. :smallbiggrin:

Oh I wish there was a way. There are too many good spells with duration 10 min/level.

Oh I hear ya mate. I don't recall if it was a feat, a spell, perhaps even a class ability, but the chance it may exist tantalizes me a bit. :smallbiggrin:

If it's [time] per level, being a Red Wizard with circle magic can extend it crazily. Up to five or up to nine casters cast the highest level spell they know to add that spell level to your effective caster level for spell effects. So a level 13 can have their spell last as long as a level 47.

A search brings up the following two possibilities:
1. Prolonged Spell (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?203270-Prolonged-Spell-3-5), a persist spell rework.
2. A homebrew Summoner (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=3400.0) class that has this as a class feature for summoning spells.
