Hi there,
My friends have twisted my arm and got me to move over from 3.5 to pathfinder. I had been looking for a beguiler without much luck when a friend found this (https://bit.ly/pathfinderbeguiler). Does anybody know what book it's from? I can't find anything about it on the PRD.

Not on the PFSRD (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/) either. Looks like a homebrew conversion, because it uses the PHBII artwork.

Looks like it's unfortunately just a homebrew conversion. (http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2qmqe?Beguiler-conversion-for-Pathfinder)

If you want a beguiler in PF, it's pretty straightforward to play an enchantment-focused sorcerer or wizard, though. There are even some schools/bloodlines that help out.

Thanks for providing that link, it gave me lots to think about. Even though this is homebrew, it seems to be pretty well written homebrew. Reading through some of the comments from people playtesting the class and talking them over with my DM he's decided to allow me to use it.

Honestly, an enchantment-focused sorcerer or wizard doesn't quite seem to have the same kind of flavor as a beguiler to me. A few people in the thread Crosswinds linked hit on this too. If you feel like it works for you, more power to you, but it just doesn't ring true for me.

Why not just play the 3.5 Beguiler in PF? There's nothing really incompatible.

Have you checked out The playtest Mesmerist (http://paizo.com/products/btpy9a0i?Pathfinder-Roleplaying-Game-Occult-Adventures-Playtest) from Occult Adventures?

One of the big interests for me with PF are the redesigned classes. Everybody got new goodies, everybody got a slight power bump (even top tier classes like the wizard). It seems a little unfair to just stick a 3.5 class into a PF session just because it works.

I didn't know that that existed. I'll have to check it out, but I'm pretty happy with the conversion from the first post.

Not to mention that there are a number of spells that the Beguiler has that don't exist in PF.

I hadn't even thought about that. I really dig the way this person handled the spells in this conversion.
