I really enjoy being a melee ranger but the current Hunter-ranger archetype is clearly better if you're an archer and not in the thick of it all.
This is basically a remake of the hunter with some changes. But if you people would be so kind and add any ideas or input I would very much appreciate it.

Taking the path of one of the bladesingers is to vow your life to the blade, to the point where you wield it so masterfully people swear you can make your blade sing. Bladesingers are rangers that believe in a balance in everything. Nature must be balanced, the forces of good and evil cannot outweigh one another. People cannot use more nature than nature can provide. Balance of body and mind is critical to this task.

Bladesong of the Swift
At 3rd evel, you gain one of the following features of your choice:

Swift Strike
When using any of your attacks against an enemy you can move your full movement without incurring an opportunity attack from your target, others make opportunity attacks at disadvantage. Other available attacks may be made upon reaching your destination.

Sing twice, strike twice. (Horde Breaker)
Once on each of your turns when you make a weapon attack, you can make another attack with the same weapon against a different creature that is within 5 feet of the original target and within range of your weapon.

Rending Strike
When you strike a target you use all your focus to strike a precise blow that causes bleeding. 1d4 damage for 1d4 turns. Stacks twice.

Bladesong of the Warden

At 7th level you gain one of the following features of your choice:

Swiftfooted Retreat
When you're hit with an attack you can move your full movement without incurring an opportunity attack from your aggressor, others make opportunity attacks at disadvantage. Once per turn

Shield of Whirling Blades
On your turn you can forgo making any attacks, instead you move your blades in such a way that attacks against you seems instinctively countered, on each attack made against you this turn you may strike back and deal half damage. Effect ends on the start of your turn and cannot be activated until the start of your next turn.

Balance of Mind, Balance of Body.
You save against any "crowd control" with advantage, be it spells, grapples, intimidation, being knocked prone etc. Once per turn.

Bladesong of the Vanguard
At 11th level you gain one of the following features of your choice:

Bladed Charge
On your turn you may use two moves to charge a target and use two attacks against it with an extra 1d4 damage each. You cannot move on your subsequent turn.

True Bladesong (whirlwind attack)
You can use your action to make a melee attack against any number of creatures within 5 feet of you. With a separate attack roll for each target.

Bladesong of the Flowing River
At 15th level you gain one of the following features of your choice:

Evasive Bladesong (evasion)
Whenever an AoE attack against you allows a dexterity save to take half damage you instead take zero damage on a successfull save and half on a unsuccessfull save.

Redirecting Bladesong (stand against the tide)
Whenever someone misses you with a melee attack you may use your reaction to redirect its attack against any other creature within its range.

Balanced Bladesong (uncanny dodge)
When an attacker you can see hits you with an attack you can use your reaction to halve the attacks damage against you.

So, this is just a first draft really. My biggest worry is really balance, some powers might be a bit to OP.
But the plan in the end is to have one type that focuses on mobility, one that focuses on melee-range AoE and one that focuses on DoT.

Please give me any feedback you got! \o/
