View Full Version : Good premade dungeon maps?

I'm running a D&D 5e game for two of my friends starting this Sunday, and since I don't have much talent for mapping out dungeons, I'm looking for some resources for premade dungeon maps that I can refluff and adapt to fit in my game. There are two specific map types I need--a guard tower (as small as possible, preferably supporting only one combat encounter) and a castle (full dungeon-sized, ideally big enough for three combat encounters including a final boss). The room layouts and basic terrain features are the most important; I can place encounters and tweak description myself, as long as the overall structure is appropriate for the type of building the scenes are supposed to be in. Anyone able to help with this?

An obvious option is just tracking down maps for actual historical castles.

You may find what you are looking for on the Cartographer's Guild (http://www.cartographersguild.com/content.php)

OR

You can try this random generator LINK (http://donjon.bin.sh/d20/dungeon/)...all you need is to input what info you want and it will generate the map for you....it'll even add encounters but they'll be 3.5 ed. so ignore them and add your own. For various layouts, just change the random seed number.

Thanks for the suggestions  I did a quick search for medieval castle floor plans; didn't really find anything I could use directly, but it gave me enough of an idea of what should be included to start doing a map of my own. Request fulfilled!
