[3.5] Templates for Constructs

Hey all,

Flipping through some books, I notice that not many templates can be applied to Constructs (excluding Living Constructs, which have a few more options).

Basically, they can only have templates that mention "any corporeal creature" (or Construct specifically), and don't mention "living".

Are there any templates specially for Constructs?

Outside of 3rd party only Incarnate Construct comes to mind.

Not specifically for Constructs, but Corrupted by the Abyss works, as it can be applied to "any corporeal creature".

Is there any other templates that fit the criteria?

Also, do constructs have a skeletal system? Because if so, skeleton (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Skeleton) or zombie (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Zombie) could be applied to them as well. (On an aside, zombies require skeletal systems? There goes my dream of zombie octopi...:smallfrown:)

Spell Greater Humanoid Essence (Races of Eberron) switch type from Construct to Humanoid
Persist it, then apply whatever template you want - Humanoids are fit for the most of them

I can't check it right now 'cuz my work computer doesn't have Excel but if you search through the Templates tab of the Monster Compendium (in sig) for "con" under the Applies To header I know there are a few more.

There's not many Constructs with Con (Only Warforged, Cyborgs and Merchurion).

I'm just a little surprised that I only seem to be able to find one template that can by applied to "any corporeal creature" - from memory, I thought there was at least a couple more.

If your construct has at least 1 wizard or sorcerer level and is evil it can take Worm that Walks.

There's not many Constructs with Con (Only Warforged, Cyborgs and Merchurion).Also, there are Exiled Modron, Dust-Stuffed Creature template, and Renegade Mastermaker 10

Half-Elemental (MotP, RttToEE)
Multiheaded Creature (Sav)
Phantom (MM V)
Pseudonatural Creature (CArc/LoM)
Pseudonatural Creature (MotP)
Pseudonatural Creature (ELH)
Shadow Creature (MotP)

This templates can be applied to "any creatures", period:
Dark Creature (ToM)
God-Blooded (MM V)
Maurid (Du#112)
Paragon Creature (ELH)
Petitioner (MotP)

Bonesinger template (Ghost) can be applied to "any creature" as long as it have a level in Bard class

Fire-Souled Creature (Dr#314) can be applied to "any creature" with Int 3+

Obah-blessed (Du#136) can be applied to "any creature" with no more than 4 arms

Also, Gravetouched Ghoul template explicitly can wave the creature requirements

One of the major ones that you are missing is from the Dragonlance book Bestiary of Krynn pg 94, Sacred Guardian. It grants an int score to mindless constructs increased HP, AC, Stats, DR, Fast Healing, and some special abilities depending on what domain you select. Ranging from things such as DR 15/Magic and Chaos and Flurry of Blows as a Monk of equal HD, or Heal 1/Day (CL = HD) and Merciful added for free on one of its weapons.

Its super cheap too, it is an amazing construct template, +2 CR.

Speaking about the Bestiary of Krynn, Taint-Blood template may be used with Warforged

From Construct-specified templates, there are also:
Soulfused Construct (MoI)
Glyph Guardian (Dr#302)

Hivenest from Dungeonscape can also be applied to Constructs, and it's a nasty one.
