Howdy all. I'm starting a new bi-weekly Pathfinder game with some friends of mine, and we're going to be running a gestalt Mummy's Mask. I've only ever made one gestalt character before, and I need some help with my build plan. From what I’ve seen so far, adventure paths typically top out around level 15 or so, so I haven’t planned any farther than that. I've already settled on a character concept: Oracle (Not sure on archetype)/Paladin (Chosen One) who is a worshiper of Sarenrae. He didn't go traditional Paladin training as most do (going with the Chosen One archetype (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo---paladin-archetypes/chosen-one-paladin-archetype)), and learned what he knows of Sarenrae from his emissary (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/wizard/familiar/familiar-archetypes/emissary-familiar-archetype) familiar (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/wizard/familiar). Taking the Foretold curse (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/oracle-curses) from the Oracle side (GM allowed use of that 3rd party curse). I'm leaning toward a mongoose here (they use weasel stats) for the +2 to fortitude saves (because this AP features desert conditions and heat is a real danger), but I'm open to suggestions here. At level 7, the familiar gets upgraded to a silvanshee. (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/outsiders/agathion/agathion-silvanshee)

Picking up the flame mystery, (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/mysteries/paizo---oracle-mysteries/flame) and taking the following revelations (at the listed levels):

1) Cinder Dance
3) Molten Skin
7) Wings of Fire
10) Burning Magic - Curse gives a bonus revelation here
11) Firestorm
15) Gaze of Flames

25 point buy, and going with an Aasimar for extra celestial goodness. Going with a mix of some flame-themed divine spells for ranged + whacking things when I get up close to them. I'm wondering about recommended feats, stat allocation, equipment, and an archetype for the Oracle (if any). Keeping Int at 14, and putting my favored class bonus in +1 skill point. In either build, I’ve tentatively planned on dumping my bonus ability score increases at 4, 8, and 12 into cha for better spellcasting and access to Ultimate Mercy.

Here is what I have thus far for build options I'm trying to decide between:

Str: 16 (14+2)
Dex: 14
Con: 14
Int: 14
Wis: 10
Cha:16 (14+2)

Feats:
1) Power Attack
3) Furious Focus
5) Glorious Heat – Great flavor and neat effect here, particularly if I end up being the party healer.
7) Warrior Priest?
9) Spell Penetration?
11) Greater Mercy?
13) Ultimate Mercy?
15)

Str: 14
Dex: 16 (14+2)
Con: 14
Int: 14
Wis: 10
Cha: 16 (14+2)

Feats:
1) Weapon Finesse
3) Dervish Dance
5) Weapon Focus (Scimitar)
7) Power Attack?
9) Critical Focus
11) Sun Striker – Odd feat requirements here as well: Character level 7, which is fine…but BAB +9, which you can’t have until level 9 (or higher if you don’t have full BAB progression). Really love the flavor, but I’m unsure of how useful this would be. I know we’ll probably face undead, but that’s probably not ALL the encounters. Also, critical hits are great, but just how useful is it to build around?
13) Greater Mercy?
15) Ultimate Mercy?

Going with the higher strength build and a 2-hander and the Power Attack -> Furious Focus route seems the more logical choice, and much as I'd love to wield a scimitar to go with the whole Sarenrae thing, option two is a far more feat-intensive build when I don’t have any bonus feats (I'm not sure what other feats would be better to sneak in there). Also, I'd have to toss 2 skill points into dance, which isn't the end of the world, but they could be better used elsewhere.

A few other points:

1) From what I've read of the AP Player's Guide, dangers from heat exhaustion and thirst are real, so how good/bad an idea would it be to wear medium or heavy armor? I can totally see a scimitar-in-one-hand-spell-in-the-other dancing into battle wearing a chain shirt moving in to strike and out again if light armor is the way to go.

2) I looked at a couple of the Oracle archetypes available, and none of them seem to fit really well (and some don't seem very useful at all). The Seeker gives me Disable Device as a class skill with a bonus to it, but I'm not sure it's worth it if I don't end up taking any metamagic feats (never used these before, actually).

3) Skills and Traits. So far, I'm going with full ranks in Diplomacy, Heal, Perception (not a class skill), Spellcraft, Knowledge (Nobility), and Knowledge (History). My familiar gets Knowledge (Religion) as a class skill, and the Paladin archetype takes it away from me. Granted, I can probably still consider it a class skill under the Oracle, but I may as well make use of the familiar for that knowledge and put my points elsewhere. Nobility isn't usually a particularly useful knowledge skill, but the player's guide for Mummy's Mask does recommend it. Is it worth taking a trait to get Perception as a class skill, or should I just use it untrained and find something more useful. Something like Desert Child (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/regional-traits/desert-child-desert) maybe? Should I (can I?) put ranks into Fly if it isn't a class skill, but I have an ability which, when activated, gives me a fly sped? Should I consider Knowledge (Planes) or Survival? My campaign trait is Blood of Pharaohs (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/campaign-traits/mummy-s-mask/blood-of-pharaohs).
