If you had to attach to each casting class a different genre of music, what Genre would you apply to them?

That's hard to answer, especially for Arcane classes. In Pathfinder, the Sorcerer can range from light synth rock to gore metal, while the Wizard can still do pretty much everything. Divine classes can also be pretty diverse even among the same class. I think its impossible to describe any one class as one thing, especially in Pathfinder with the multitude of archetypes for each class.

Beguilers must be something very, very psychedelic. Wizards are 'select all, shuffle, repeat'.

Whenever I think of Beguilers, I think of this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJa0Zv5gHSU) character and the style of music he represents. Big hair, giant lightshows, wall of sound.

Can we assign individual song to the different classes?

If not I'd love for beguilers to have slow sultry lounge music. Something like Lovage or Portishead.

I want wizards to be something like Holst's Planets Suit, powerful with great variety.

Bards should be swing or bebop something high energy and exciting like Yardbird.

I want Duskblades to be punk. I could totally play a duskblade who's theme song was the sex pistols or rancid.

Sorcerers should be EDM. Something repetitive but extremely catchy with a hook that you find yourself humming for a couple of days.

I can't get green sleeves out of my head when I think about Druids but somehow I don't think that's quite right...

Sure- Heck, with Pathfinder, you can even assign specific songs to specific archetypes.

Warlocks are metal. Hellfire Warlocks are death metal. Enlightened Spirit Warlocks are epic metal. Warlock, Warlock, Warlock; metal, metal, metal. It makes sense.

Wizards are classical. Crisp, precise, and beautifully uplifting or horrifically dark, as needed. Plus, built-in sheet music!

Bards are a capella, rock, or anything awesome by Van Canto. They harmonize magnificently, and rock out.

Sorcerers are rap. It's all improvised.

Clerics are anything you can chant in Latin, including traditional pieces, and basically any bastardized Latin used in dark rock and metal bits.

Favored Souls are anything by Tenacious D. They have a lot of fun and they have some big fans.

Paladins are the score of Camelot. That's about it.

On the PF side, Bloodragers are speed metal. Never, ever question that.

Magus (Magi?) are glam rock. They think they look so good.

Witches are Greensleeves, and pretty much anything you'd hear at a ren faire.

... And it seems I've run out of steam.

Okay then Beguilers are totally Glory Box (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8uciibl0rcs).

Duskblades are I wanna Riot (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ivOvQBlaRIQ)

Bard are Take Five (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vmDDOFXSgAs). Or just about anything from Out of Time really.

Wizards are The Planets (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AHVsszW7Nds)

I really want to say Psions are Mastermind (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yf9OAFML_Eg)... But I think I just want it cause Deltron says "psionically" in the song.

True Namers are Alphabet Aerobics (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MvPnM2Q1nwU).

I really feel like a cleric's domains completely shift what kind of song a cleric would be.

EDIT: Psions have to be something done with Tuvan Throat Singing. No one builds psions without the Schism power right?

Bards? Queen. Absolutely Queen. Watch a video from Live Aid and tell me Freddie Mercury wasn't using Inspire Competence on that crowd on the call-back-and-repeat thing. (Blind Guardian is a close runner-up).

Paladins - Classy, never going to change, square and knows it but is okay with that. So maybe something from the Big Band era. Glenn Miller!

Barbarians, I'd have to go with a bit of a mix. Immigrant Song and No Quarter from Led Zeppelin, and probably anything by the Sex Pistols.

Monks, "Kung Fu Fighting" is way too obvious. They are an acquired taste, they used to be a lot better than they are now, and everybody else seems to do their shtick better than they do. So, I'm going with Bob Dylan.

Fighter. Now that's a tough one. Basic, versatile, can be just about anything, kind of bubble-gummy, but each one has its own charm; always a classic and always going to be around ... the Beatles.

Warlock: Seconding Red Fel. Metal, so very metal.

Beguiler: Will take you on a hallucinogenic trip. Pink Floyd.

Lol @ In the Mood for a Paladin.

If were gonna include non- casting classes should Monks and Fighters be, like, the Hokey Pokey and the Chicken Dance?

Starting in (3.5) Core and moving on from there.

Bard: Will always be Traditional Ballads to me. Preferably Folk Rock renditions because that's how I like my traditional English ballads but not necessary. Ok, actually Red Fel is right, they're Van Canto as in when I'm brewing stuff for Bards and Bard inspired stuff I listen to Van Canto... and heavy metal... I listen to heavy metal to brew everything and if I went by that I'd just be listing metal bands.

Clerics: Are Hymns and chants and sutras. I'd make them Gregorian Chant, but that's too Lawful and... well I'm saving it.

Druids: Are Celtic music. Sometimes Celtic Rock... because I like Rock.

Paladins: Are Gregorian Chants. The Lawful-ness of the monophonic music just cries out Paladin to me.

Rangers: Are Celtic Metal, because Metal is awesome, Celtic music is awesome, and Rangers are wilderness hunter people so it was vaguely appropriate.

Sorcerers: Are metal, it's all about showing that skill, all about the music.

Wizards: Are classical. Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, all wizards of song.

Warlocks: Are hard rock. Specifically Blue (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGKNaIXtBZQ) Oyster (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7krC6SY5b1A) Cult (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3t1NuAQj0vY).

Warmages: Are military marches.

Wu Jen: Are anime openings.

Ok I'm done, out of steam and all.

Alright, new question- Electro-swing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwWT43Eb3IM). If you had to apply Electro-Swing and Swing to any class, which would you apply it to?
