Starting our own MUD?

Anyone here interested in starting our own mud server?

I have the machinery for it, does anyone have the know-how of building and so on? (I can probably figure it out, but help would be nice :D) I think it'd be a fun thing for us and a place we can easily play together! :D

I can crank out areas pretty darn quickly, as long as it's a ROM codebase.

I was thinking of going with http://www.smaugmuds.org/

How would that work for you? It should be pretty much like ROM.
