Once you are guided inside it looks like a old throne room from times before the great war that has seen better days sitting on the old throne with a makeshift stone table with enough chairs for six members of howling six and the Advisors of the cult. You are allowed sit in each chair and guided out and back to the common room and the board that has a list of jobs chosen and are handed three jobs which you can do as a group or in two sets

job 2

There are many underdark creatures but also a maze that none have ever figure out why as it said to be easiest maze to esacpe by the looks of the map posted. you must figure it out and make your kill before it kidnaps and kills more people.

job three

Being close to the current Alpha had its benefits, one of them was knowing that there was a meeting happening soon, and so when the announcement was made Injhul and her brother Savitor were more then ready with their murder squad as the group of drow elves made their way to the great stadium where an important announcement would be heard. Do not worry brother, it is all ready I promise. Just sit back and wait everything is in place, all we need to do now is wait. You know how much I despise waiting sister, me and my people are ready to take the throne by force if we must. Savitor says back to his sister from inside the circle of his loyal followers. You know just as well as I brother that if you were to do so it would cause a war inside of us, we do not yet have enough support to make such a change without losing power. the young priestess whispered into her brothers ear, as a pearly white smile appeared on her face.

It does not take long before the secrets of why the meeting was called is revealed as she looks at her brother and shakes her head as the group as a whole stand up and march down to the platform. Sister be careful, we do not know these others, my men will stay with you until we are no longer able. I will watch from the shadows. Savitor says as his men open up at the center allowing her to walk up the steps to the stage, before forming a protective wall around the stairs, this way if they needed to stop anyone they would already be ready.

Once upon the stage Injhul Ala bows to each of the current members of the howling six and the generals, before stepping back quietly so that the others may step forward and say something if they wished. Neither extremely tall or short, fat or slim, Injhul made it a point to not stand out at this meeting it seems as she wears enough clothing to cover up much of her skin, which is uncommon for a female drow. However she could not hide her violet eyes watching over each and every person that joined her on the stage. After all she needed to know these people more then they knew her. And to do that it would be best to remain quite and listen, ever vigilant to what they did.

When led to the secret chamber she sends her guards away, after all they knew where to find her, and her brother would need more protection now then ever if their plan was to come to fruition. Silently sitting down in the chair offered to her, she waits patiently for someone to declare themselves the leader or choose a mission, while secretly wishing to split the group up to learn about them as individuals.

After a few moment, when it becomes clear that no one else will step forward, a small figure bustles forward. He's dressed in a what looks like an expensive-looking dressing gown, slightly darkened by soot.

He looks at the parchment carefully.

There isn't much detail. But they seem straightforward enough. Find the lost artifact from amongst not-alive. No details about what we do with it afterwards, although that's probably undue optimism on my part. Or there's finding this rogue guardian. Apparently we have to smash it up, which seems like waste, but maybe we can study the peices. Or, we can kill some people.

He looks around at the others.

I say we go get the artifact. It would be embarassing if turned out to be something that could destroy constructs and rival cults, and we left it till last. Then we come back and smash and kill things if, if we have time.

Even though Barnabas opted to stay in the background, his stature and unusual appearance still makes him stand out. He's had his reservations about this whole 'choose your successor' celebration, and the whole parade and podium routine did nothing to alleviate his concerns. As far as he can tell, the boards inside the room with a bunch of tasks pretty much confirms his suspicions: that they were brought here just to play cover up for the previous leadership's gaffe.

He barely knows the others, but he can tell that a lot of them looks like they have their own reservations as well. Can't really blame them.

Once the dwarven man broke the awkward silence and offered his opinion on the tasks at hand, Barnabas decided to break his own apathetic stance and makes his way closer to the task board. The dark-elven lady has been nice enough to try and alleviate the silence before - and he had returned her polite bow with his own awkward nod - but not until the dwarven man had anyone bothered to analyze the contents.

"Sure sounds like a lot of unfinished business. They didn't even bother to keep them subtle, huh?" He muttered, finger still running along the words being displayed at the board.

"Seeing that the third one sounds like an out-and-out war, should probably put that one last. I have no preference on the other two, but I guess it's better to concentrate in one and get it over and done with."

Injhul was a woman of patience, and knew that taking the lead normally led to a target on the back of your head. So when the dwarf and Barnabas said their opinions she was happy to see at least one shared her views, if only slightly. It seems we have inherited much from our predecessors, however to point blame at them would only waste time. They were old and worried no doubt about other matters, no doubt on who should replace them. Injhul says looking around the room to the other members who had remained silent. As for the last option being an all out war, that is not per say true. She says pulling out a wine bottle almost completely empty. This right here is may look like a simple glass of wine to most of you, however it is what my people call Drow Spiderblood. To those who are used to it, it is a harmless wine. she says as she pours herself the remains amount into a glass and takes a sip, proving her point. However if mislabeled, and marked to say be delivered to the Alpha from a special storage this wine could kill off many of their weaker followers on its own without us having to lift a hand. No doubt they would force whoever was driving by to drink it first to prove it was not poison, which would be easy for me, and many of my family. Thus a full scale war turns into a clean up operation. You never look at things with a small picture, but instead at the big picture. By poisoning them we waste less manpower and resources, then we would trying to fight a war. And it would be much easier to contain rumors of such an incident if it was squashed quickly. Injhul says as she then looks to the dwarf. However you also hold a valid point, what is this artifact they were looking into, and if it is something that could be used against us then we should secure it for ourselves. However that leaves the guardian who has been killing people unchecked. I see a few ways we could go about this. The first we split up into two groups, one going to the maze, and the other with a shipment of wine and taking care of the last two objectives with easy. The other option is we all go for the artifact as no doubt something worthy of the title Artifact would be guarded very well. Injhul says to all assembled, showing that she was not shy.

Aeirthir remains in the back, hidden from even her fellow Wolves. On one hand, she feels that the artifact, especially if it might be a real Artifact, would likely be more important. On the other, she would be near useless in a fight against these rumored liches and golems.

The Kobold steps forward and addresses one of the Six. "Does anyone know how many people we can expect in this 'rival group'?"

Rugaru extremely uncomfortable with the crowd of people, and even more so being inside such a small crowded area. Willing to be quiet during the ceremony and some of the following. When presented with the tasks, and the option to choose upon hearing the opinions of the other chosen he opts to speak his piece.

"To take out the rivals, how pressing is that? Are they just trying to slander our reputations or are they actually going to challenge our might?"

He will wait for a reply and see what stance the other chose n have for the tasks presented.

An insectoid jumps from the crowd into its newly-appointed seat. The insect has four arms, and powerful legs. Its head has mandibles and compound eyes. A Thri-kreen.

First it turns to the Alpha. Ch'tikk will avert lateness nexxt time. The six one, it will not join uss. The danccer wass to weak. It hass fled the ssumonss.

Turning to the smaller one, Ch'tikk shakes his head. The artifact iss of no use kept with skeleton psionss and steel guardianss. Thesess ssount like harsh enemies. We sshould hunt them when we can kill them more eassily.

Motioning to the wicked-looking bee--the size of a large bear-- its swarm of wasps above it, and the bleached-white spider that have made their way to the kreen's side in his wake, he continues, My clutch would be useless against metal creatures and the undead. Many of usss would be. The arrtiffact can wait.

Our reputation iss hunted. Iff we can do well for otherss, this group cannot deny the trruths of actions.

Thiss one indicating himself Thinkss it best to hunt the guardian as it iss the most dangerouss to others. Then we can hunt thiss other group

The old looking man followed by a large humanoid insect would join the group and heard their conversion and heard the options and smiled proudly to them which could be kinda creepy as the old man is savage looking. The old man as the alpha thought on how correct he was to push to have these young cultist chosen to one day replace current regime. He would stay put taking in and thinking on their options a little bit more and watch as they reminded him of him and six when they were young cultist like themselves. The middle aged looking humanoid who was was omega would look to them as he heard all their questions and thought as he had his own instructions as this was more or less a test for them to show their worthiness of being pushed to be the chosen by the elder and alpha.

The alpha look to the kreen an honorable race and looked to him as he spoke to him "I see that is a shame" he would say to Ch'tikk as he was disappointed at them but they clearly not as ready as he had thought for the position they may have gotten in the cult. He would step forward and cut off the six man that appeared to be an anamorphic goat before he could reply and give him a stern look and looked to the little dragon "their numbers are around and about ours" he would say to the little dragon as his answer was also a test on if they can figure out truth and needed information no matter how vague or untruth it is. This was needed of course as it is life as a apla and member of six to filter through information. The Alpha looked to the others "We will give you the information you need but to pass this trial you must figure rest as this out on your own" he would say with a smile as this trial might be rough but if they're truly worthy they get through this.

Undead may be a problem to some, but to a priestess they are nothing more then creatures that could be used for our will. Waste not want not after all. And if they guard a true artifact why is it we are only hearing of it now I wounder. Injhul says softly, like the wind whispering into ones ear. However the fact that this rival group has numbers to match our own shows alone that they could become a more permanent threat to our peoples safety, and threw them the safety of all those we protect. After all is it not the cult who keeps the peace, is it not the cult that keeps the monsters at bay? So anyone who would try a direct attack on us, even a small one could harm those under our command. Should we not look out then for those below us and eliminate this other cult. Injhul asks those assembled, after all it was half true even though her motives were not in the same place the insect looking creatures was, she knew saying things in a way that sounded like they were helping others would no doubt get father with him.

"Sounds like a perfect recipe for a stalemate, this rival of ours." By now, Barnabas has make his way to the right corner of the room, seemingly moving his significant stature in order to give room for the others to gaze at the options in more detail. If he was surprised once the old man made his presence known, he'd never shown it. Instead, he prefers to let the others voice their own piece on the matter before occasionally quipping with his own viewpoint on the matter of choice.

"Why did this so-called guardian turned 'rogue' exactly? If it was a weapon created for the war then surely it must have a way to be controlled, yes?" He pauses after the second question as his gaze meets the old man's. "We should look for a way to make this weapon fight for our cause. At the very least it'll tip the balance against this other cult. Kill two birds with one stone, or somethin' like that."

The small dwarf shrugs.

Our rivals are stirring up hatred against us, yes, but people have been doing that for a long time. We can't forsake our duties every time someone moves against us. Besides, dealing with these people means catching them all, not just a few minor players, and getting that information, from contacts, from our own people simply watching, takes time. Let's set that in motion while dealing with one of the important tasks. I still favour putting the artefact first, as being the only that might disappear and never be seen again. But the guardian is important too, particularly if seems likely it might strike again. I like the idea of trying to fix it to work for us. We should certainly try, although it might not prove possible.

The problem seems to lead him to forget what he was saying for a moment

Then by the time we get back from either or both of the other tasks, we can move on our rivals here. Of course...

He turns to face the old man.

We don't really have the relevent information here, which is time. How long is their plan to move against us likely to take? How many people has the guardian taken over how much time? And are we acting on information about this artefact that everyone knows and we've just decided to bother with, or is this something specific that other people might use to get there first? These plans and locations could each be days or months away. You don't have to give us the information, of course, but our decision will be better if have all the relevent facts.

"And you could tell us how many there really are, as well as why you thought it would be a good idea to lie to us on something that's supposedly so important. Are we being intentionally sent to our deaths?" With that, she disappears into the shadows, ready to fight her way out if necessary.

Turning to the Alpha and the other Elders, Rugaru upon hearing the dismissal of his query, and the Elders running them in circles, with logic that they wish not to share the information that would probably be vital to their missions, will try a semi-more direct approach.

"It seems that while you wish us to find out this information on our own, you yourselves have taught us all how to carefully plan what we would do, so as to not expose ourselves or a weakness that others could exploit. Now you are turning your own teachings upon their head, and instead would send the group(s) of us blind into the clutches of our enemies instead. Have you fallen so far from your teachings that you seek to destroy us all, or is it that your aging has caused you to become reckless?"

With some of the anger vented, Rugaru will await a response or action once again, steeling himself should someone/thing try anything physical or mystical.

Held action to shift to hybrid, and free action to rage, should they try something.
