Warforged Components - Attached or Embedded?

Okay, here is the main question I have.

I know that the embedded warforged components don't take damage on failed save and natural 1, but what determines what is an embedded or attached component? Is inserting an embedded component taking longer than doing so with attached one? How does it work?

Its all in the description of each component. With a quick glance through my eberron books, I didn't see any components that didn't make some mention of being attached or embedded. Unless you're getting at custom items in which case it falls to the DM. Personally, I'd say that things like weapons would be attached while things more similar to wondrous items are embedded.
