Feats for Constructs

Is an awakened tree able to take feats? Also if it was colossal (for 32 hit dice) and if it was awakened by an epic character then could it qualify for epic feats? Or was it already able to take them regardless?

Please site the sources so that way my DM can use it as a reference. Also thank you guys very much in advance!

Edit: I forgot to mention that this is 3.5.
