Anyone know of a hex grid online tool? I don't need anything too complicated, I would be more then happy with things you can do with excel. Help?

Are you talking about a tool for making maps online using a hex grid background? That's what I thought you meant at first, but the part about Excel is confusing.

Yes. I mentioned excel because I use it for my square maps.

I never got good with it, but Pyromancer seems pretty decent. I'm quite sure it can do hex, although I think it can also do square so you might have to change that in the settings. And I think, from a quick Google search, that the website is pyromancers.com, but I recommend double-checking on your own end to make sure that is the legit site.

I think there's some decent tutorials on Youtube for it, too.

There's a free-to-download program that I've played with some called HexDraw (http://www.hexdraw.com/). It seems to be fairly straightforward, and although it's geared toward wargames, I imagine it could be used for RPG maps as well.

Thanks, I will check it out.

I would prefer something online, since I do most of my gaming when I'm at work, and I can't instal anything there.

I'd second pyromancers - I've used it to create assets for games before -
the piece you may want is the "dungeon painter online" :

http://pyromancers.com/dungeon-painter-online/

Set its grid to "hexes" in the tabs on the far right: tab (Back & grid) : setting: Hexes

roll20 has an option for hex grids.

It's built more for playing than map-making though.
