Hello There,

Allow me to introduce myself. I'm a pro artist that has been published in comics, games, animation, and storyboards for commercials. Most of my pro experience has been in game development. I just started my own creator owned project:

quizgirls (http://quizgirls.com)

I will post some teaser art below and I'll update this thread with new artwork as it becomes available. ATTN: MODS don't worry, there will be no nudes or anything, there will be beautiful pin ups though, I'm all about those now! :D but they'll have clothes on, if not armor and costume; nothing more risqué than a bodacious babe image comic. Also, I don't want my site to be flagged as NSFW, so even there it won't go beyond "PG-13" content.

Quizgirls (http://quizgirls.com) is an interactive game using standard browser technology (flash game or unity downloads not necessary, nor any spammy email grab signups either). The artwork are like single panel encounters and the interactivity are quiz and trivia battles (http://quizgirls.com). I'll explain more as I go along, I don't want to bore you with my banter, so without further ado.....

You see the above image in the first battle when you use a mobile device. The entire site is mobile optimized, meaning you can enjoy it on your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

Bodacious Blacksmith preliminary drawing
2.5 x 3.5 inches
red colored pencil on bristol board

The Bodacious Blacksmith is a new player character in the quizgirls (http://quizgirls.com) pantheon. She will not be a fighter, for the moment but I'm not ruling that out for future modules. She will provide a way for the player character to upgrade her items. Her first appearance will be in the upcoming second Dueling Sketch Card (http://quizgirls.com)module.

Please come back soon when I will have the full color version posted.

The colours are VERY pretty to look at. They're bright without clashing, and are generally just pretty. The line weight is used to great effect.
On the other hand...

This is how the Curvy Crossbowman turned out:

I'm glad you specified that shes the Curvy Crossbowman. Even if I was briefly misled into thinking there is literally any other kind of (female) Crossbowman in your collection.

Don't get me wrong, I recognise the appeal of drawing gorgeous curvy ladies as much as anyone who finds people pretty, but your design hits pretty much every single 'stereotypically bad fantasy depiction of women to the point where COME ON this HAS to be a parody' button it is possible to hit: from the literally S-shaped spines to the clavicle-exposing and glued-on skintight armour to the waist smaller than the head to the inexplicably ripped, again skintight clothing, to the thighs either poised in a sexy straddling position or clenched so tight like she's trying to keep a penny between them.

This isn't a personal attack on you - hell, I don't know you personally - so much as it is to say that MY personal reaction to seeing a product with these would be an eyeroll, muttering, and possibly mocking gestures, in that order, followed by a rant to whoever I'm with about how the fantasy and comics industry can't be taken seriously because it *still* panders to men with all the grace of softcore porn. Now, I know art like this usually isn't created with ill intent in mind, but it tends to be the red flag on any given work that literally half the world's population would not be welcome in its customer base. I'm sure I don't speak for everyone, but at the same time I know for a fact I speak for a lot of people: check the popularity of blogs like eschergirls.tumblr.com or google the Hawkeye Initiative. There is a LOT of demand from women for comics and designs that don't... well, look like this, and you'd be on the more innovative and original, not to mention plain ethical, side of the fence if you opted for more diversity in your designs.

Tl;dr: nice art style, drawn like softcore porn for heterosexual men despite being marketed/promoted as something for all audiences, please check back when you've improved.

(Does the pirate one have a parrot sitting on her shoulder on BARE SKIN? WIth bird claws? And oh my god, is the last one supposed to be a BLACKSMITH? In THAT outfit? OUCH.)
