Hey there!

I'm struggling to roll up full characters for my players to fight, due to a full-time job - I was wondering, if there's any repositories out there with pre-made characters with class levels, advanced monsters and similar templates i could take as-is or take as a base for more modification.

This would also allow me to use systems that i know less more often, like psionics and incarnum.

thanks a lot in advance, such a thing could save me a lot of time, AND make fights more interesting for my players.

UPDATE:

Posting my findings so far, updating OP as well:

Lots of NPCs, minimalistic info but stat blocks etc are there
http://d20npcs.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Has a Zip with ~20 NPCs in PDF form for each base class under "PRE GENERATED NPC CLASSES FOR DOWNLOAD"
http://orkerhulen.dk/Material1.html

Wild mix of Homebrew and RAW legal characters (i think this page is forbidden?)
theforbiddenwikiforD&D.com /wiki/3.5e_NPCs

Rather random list of NPCs, but with stat blocks:
http://www.greyhawkonline.com/duicarthan/npcz.html

Seemingly huge list, but horrible sorting/search

3.0 had a book, Enemies and Allies, filled with premade NPCs, most of them generic enough to fit into any campaign. While some updating is necessary, many of the builds can stand as they are.

Thanks! That's actually a decent start. It's a shame that there's nothing for the latter classes released and the more outlandish races/templates of 3.5

That's generally pretty unlikely, since there isn't much content for most of those, period.

Also, I had forgotten that there is some similar 3.5 content in the DMGII, though less of it.

You could also back-port Pathfinder NPCs found in the NPC Database (http://www.pathfindercommunity.net/home/databases/npcs).

This also interests me for similar reasons. It's very strange that there are no pages that have builds of various characters for certain encounter levels and challenge ratings out there, considering how many builds we see on forums like this one and it's like, in various competitions(like the Iron chef one) and the sort. After all, while officially made npc's are certainly a start, they are almost always very underwhelming with choice of equipment and spells-feats-abilities, something that players that actually do a lot of thinking, get right more often than not.

I hope this helps someone who might come looking for the same information at a later date

I was like you and wanted an index of NPCs that I could quickly use. Having NPCs with classes or abilities that I may not have thought of creating would be a bonus. So a few years ago I compiled a complete index of every single 3.5 (and a few 3.0) WotC NPC stat block from their books. It includes Dragon/Dungeon magazines.

This is just an index that contains the CR, NPC name, race, class level, alignment, and the book/page number that it came from. I use this all the time now and it is a life saver.

Go to my site, and click on the "NPC Index Reference Sheets (Excel)" link to download an Excel file containing this index.

My 3.5 tools (http://www.rpglocker.com/index.php?file=c-downloads)

It is currently sorted by CR first, then class and race. I find that to be the easiest way to browse for something I can use.

How about some
Red Hand of Doom ([pathfinder) statblocks:

Another Statblock fotr Red Hand of Doom:

Just change them over if you want later.

I also recall that Heroes of Battle has a lot of different kinds of warrior-type NPC statblocks for the major races. While this is pretty limited in depth, it does make it pretty simple to slap on some wandering raiders or anything else that could take the mechanics of a military character but swap out the fluff.

I'm not sure if that helps with what you're looking for, but it could be worth looking into.

I completely forgot about this tool. I don't normally use it as any of my NPC's who need stats have specific requirements that I flesh out, but it sounds like for your purposes I would definitely recommend it.

is there a list anywhere where the NPCs were created "Using" the rules? All the list links that were still active and not scam (1) had characters that were total min/max no creative aspects at all. Not to mention the numbers didnt add up, now i only looked at a few on each page but an example was a first level that looked like it had skill points for a tenth level.. looked at a Bigby write up that had skill points over the max without explaining...

I think MMIV/MMV have leveled enemies. Like a specific set of Orc, a set of Hobgoblins, etc.
