Hey all, i'm making a character for Giantslayer, and have decided that it would be great to try a Goblin (mostly to play against the stereotype). I want to make a goblin who specifically fights giants and by extension, any creature larger than himself. The giantslayer PhB does give some good ideas, but I was hoping you guys could help me with builds and stuff. I was thinking playing to the Goblin's strength and making a highly mobile, Dex-based fighter, but i'm not sure how good that'd be in practice.

Thanks for the help!

Rather than fighter, I suggest Unchained Rogue (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/unchained-classes/rogue-unchained) (gets Dex to damage, Debilitating Injury and other goodies) with the Vexing Dodger (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/archetypes/paizo---rogue-archetypes/vexing-dodger) archetype (lets you climb all over your foe, hampering their attacks and making you harder to hit.)

For your goblin, consider the Tree Runner or Cave Crawler archetypes. The latter gives you a climb speed, i.e. +8 racial bonus and you can take 10 in combat but lowers your base speed to 20, while Tree Runner only gives you +4 but lets you keep your speed. (You can use the UnRogue's skill unlock to get a true climb speed later if you wish.)

That's a cool archetype I gotta say, and very appropriate for a Giantslayer game.

I've heard it said that goblins can make good spellcasters as well. Any truth to that?

Well sure - +4 Dex is going to be a good deal for anyone who wears light or no armor, and their stat penalties are to Str and Cha, which plenty of casters don't care about. Fluffwise Alchemist would be the best fit given their society and pyromania, but you can justify just about anything.

Plus, touch attack rolls go off Dex, so an agile caster is more likely to hit with ranged or melee touch attacks.

Very true. I've left the backstory open enough that he could be either a caster or a Rogue. Perhaps hunter would also work, pairing dex-based damage with a big tough animal for melee purposes.
