Is it ever made explicit whether the magic weapon (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/magicWeapon.htm) spell overcomes damage reduction/magic?

From the SRD entry on DR

Some monsters are vulnerable to magic weapons. Any weapon with at least a +1 magical enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls overcomes the damage reduction of these monsters. Such creatures’ natural weapons (but not their attacks with weapons) are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

Magic weapon (and the greater version) give the weapon a +1 enhancement bonues, so yes they do overcome DR/Magic

Incidentally, for questions such as this you should use the RAW Q&A thread (it is stickied at the top of the forum).

The magic weapon spell isn't explicitly mentioned; and note the key word 'magical' (enhancement bonus), whilst the magic weapon spell 'gives a weapon a +1 enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls.' (Note the lack of the word 'magical'.)

Because it isn't made explicit, I was wondering whether it overcomes damage reduction/magic, or if it's an edge case like ki strike (magic), which doesn't overcome incorporeality.
(Come to think of it, does magic weapon overcome incorporeality?)

The distinction is thus:

Non-magical enhancement bonus is a masterwork weapon. They are not considered magical to get around DR.

A magical enhancement bonus comes from spells or magic item crafting.

By that logic, magic fang (and by extension, the amulet of mighty fists) would overcome damage reduction/magic (and by extension, incorporeality). Is that right?

Overcoming DR X/magic: While most low-level PCs don’t carry around permanent magical weapons (although 4th level monks count as one themselves), there are plenty of temporary ways to overcome damage reduction vulnerable to magic weapons. The most common way is to rely on your spellcasters; magic weapon, shillelagh, magic fang, magic stone, and bless weapon are great spells to have at the ready. These are also excellent spells to stock up on via scrolls. Potions/oils of these spells make it easy for non-spellcasters to become effective against creatures vulnerable to magic weapons.

I'd say that if it's in an official wotc article, the case is pretty clear.
