The Blue Moon Fund

A small wooden booth is set up out near Trog's, with a sign proped up over it with the words "Blue Moon Fund" painted in navy letters across it. A small white wolf sits behind the booth, its front paws laying on the counter as it watches the people pass by. Anyone wishing to know what the fund is for, the white cub pipes up, speaking in common (though it will occasionally say the following in goblin and elven)

The Blue Moon Fund has been set up to bring back the many dead werewolves in the slaughter that occured last fall from the attack of a corrupt paladin, who we will not dignify by naming. Please donate any money you can spare, so that we may afford to bring this lost tribe back to life!

The wolf sighs, covering her eyes

So... If you have any questions, my name is Kareia, your resident awakened wolf!

We can only accept donations of coin and gem, and will not accept donations of more then 100,000 from a single person in a single day.

Also, a quarter of any purchases made in the Workshop of Wonder go towards this cause, so if you want a cool magic item and want to help some good people, the Workshop is the place to go!

A blond haired man, walking towards Trog's, notices the little stand and goes over to it.
He listens to the little wolf cub, stroking it's head, then searches his clothing for a moment.

A clinking sound announces the dropping of a gemstone into the bowl

"It's not a diamond I'm afraid" the man says, before walking into Trog's "But you can probably swap it for one"

[Lykan]

Kareia barks happily, wagging her tail and deposits the gem in a chest in the back of the booth.

Gwen stops by and drops a very nice emerald (high end for whatever emeralds are worth) into Kareia's fund.

"Always wanted to see if I could dilute lycanthropy into a liquid," remarks Malleo as he passes.

"Well, I suppose I can spare the money from all the bullets that Shadow Spy bought. Heads up!"

He loads a roll of platinum coins into his gun arm and fires it into the bowl.

((There should be worth about 5,000 gp in there; it's all Malleo's profits from Alchemical bullets thus far))

(( That "paladin" invaded my temple and murdered children cowering in the hospital, then sent iron golems to kill my priests... I think he counts as evil. ))

Fenric appears in a swirl of blue-tinged shadows. He places one 10,000 gp diamond on the table.

It's the least I can do.

[ I kind of figured it was something like that, but on the face of it, this looks like a random wolf nattering on about how the big, nasty paladin killed his packmates, when the average case of such would involve leaving out how said packmates were hunting people. There's nothing to distinguish it.]

Tenshin walks up to the booth and listens to the tale sadly. She places a 10.000 gp diamond on the table and smiles I hope you can manage to get them all back. If you need any help with the actual ressurrections, just ask, I will be more than happy to help. I stay at the temple of Inari.

As Maph'tey is making his normal rounds in search of dastardly evil-doers he spots the stand.

"A corrupted paladin. Well, I have to admit I've run into at least one of those thus far. How he managed to slay an unarmed man without falling is beyond me. Maybe he was a blackguard in denial or something..."

He fishes around in his satchel for a few moments before producing a rather hefty 10k diamond. Due to the fact that he regularly sculpts such gems does a long way in explaining why he would have one on him at the moment.

"Well, here's to hoping you get your friends fixed."

With that he sets the stone down and heads on his way.

It's people like those that give paladins a bad rep. Here
He drops a large ruby ((Worth 10,000 gold)) on the counter.

Therefore it is not farfetched to assume that they knew said werewolves were not horribly evil creatures))

He glances the sign over, noting the fact that he has far, far less than ten thousand gold on his person at the moment.

Kareia nods, explaining the concept of what the Blue Moon Fund is doing

{Lupine}"One's pack was removed by humans..." She sighs.

Kareia bites her lip

So you'd understand what the survivors would be feeling, right?

Ekrath comes back and drops an enormously large emerald into the chest. It's worth 100K

She jumps with joy

Kyrian returns, handing over 90,000 more GP, and both bags fill up more.

Kyrian smiles and vanishes to rejoin his continuity.

From seemingly out of nowhere, a largish puff of red smoke pops up, and then quickly condenses into a humanoid figure. Dinony then steps out of the humanoid-shaped fog cloud, and approaches the stall.
After listening to Kareia's explanation for this fund, he says, "Hm, I remember when one of the lupine folk helped me with a particular matter. It's sad to see that those of such proud origins could be slain by those that claim to come from prouder."
He then materializes in his hand a flawless ruby, shaped like a... Like a carrot or a chilli or something.
"This gem should be worth forty-five thousand gold pieces." Dinony says as he deposits the ruby. "Although, I also happen to be in some small amount of need, though most certainly not as epic or dire as your cause. I need to anonymously deliver a letter to someone, and, being relatively new to the Town's layout, I'm rather uncertain where to reliably delegate the task of delivery.
It occurs to me that sending one of your kin would serve well enough, though the destination is somewhat dangerous. Can you help?"

[Lykan]

She bites her lip

Dinony sighs regretfully. "Really? That's a pity. Sorry for the time."
He steps back into another conveniently-formed cloud of fog and disappears.

As Atokad is flying around on patrol, he sees the booth and decides to give them 100,000 gp in a single bag. He looks at Kareia.
Put that in a safe place. Wouldn't want that getting stolen.
He continues his patroling.

[Lykan]

Kareia continues doing the happy wolf dance, estatic at all the money they're raking in for the fund.

Gwen stops by again and donates sapphires, emeralds and pearls (10,000gp). She looks at the diamond before putting it in the bowl as well.

[Shadow of the Sun]

Teleporting in front of Kareia, a person who appears to be a rather young elvish boy, apart from his eyes, looks at the sign with interest. Waving his hand, ten small statues of wolves, made entirely out of diamond, appear, each one having a value of 10,000 gold pieces. Smiling, the elvish boy teleports off again.

The "Friday" bag opens, revealing 100,000gp worth of diamonds.

Kareia bites her lip

Kareia yips a 'thank you' to all teh people that gave to the charity before looking at the she-wolf again

Well... Wolves are sacred there (go figure)... Your welcome to come to the village if you want to stay with a new pack...

[Deadly]

Deadly and Muffin appear in a swirl of muffins and black flames. They listen to the wolf explain the situation and Deadly looks thoughtful. "I wonder if wolves like muffins" he says to himself as he places a solid gold muffin on the table (worth about 5000gp, probably) "We found this one the other day, and it's not good to eat, so perhaps you can use it." he smiles "We also found this one, but it's even worse for my teeth" he grins and places a muffin-shaped diamond on the table (10.000 gp)

Muffin scratches his head with a paw, then pulls out a pair of large diamonds, each worth 10.000, places them on the table and bows at the wolf.

The two raccoons then disappear again.

The She-wolf nodds and smiles.

{Lupine}"One may visit."

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*Atreyu trots by, reads the sign and "awwwww"'s sadly. He looks into his pouch and pulls out a bag that has 250 GP in it. A scent check DC 10 will reveal that the bag smells heavily of woman's perfume. He also pulls out 2 wedding rings and sets them on the table.

"I don't know what these are worth, but I don't think Supagoof will be wanting them back and they should go to a good cause."

*He looks at the she-wolf, thoughtfully* "umm...is this one of your pack?"

[Lykan]

She shakes her head

Nope... She's a nice conversationalist, though.

She grins

The She-wolf trots over and sniffs the Llama.

*the llama smiles and looks nervously at the She-wolf*

"Good luck!" *he says kinda nervously*

The She-wolf looks up at the Llama.

{Lupine}"One was told to pounce on you in greeting... will this suffice?"

*The llama looks down, trying to figure out what she just said* "umm...."

{lupine} "we no good growl"

The She-wolf tilts her head in slight confusion at that.

The Pigeon flaps down, and looks at the gathering with curiousity.

Atreyu tries again, looking embarrassed.
{lupine} "no good growling me {lupine}

{Lupine}"One did not intend to cause offence."

She trots a little way away from the Llama.

The Pigeon throws a copper piece into the counter, and flaps off.

She looks at the she-wolf

Can you come back here a moment please?

The She-Wolf trots over to Kareia and looks up at her.

"She said something to me...but I don't know what. I want to explain that I don't know what she said."

[Exachix]

The She-Wolf looks at the Llama in slight confusion.

[Lykan]

Kareia looks at the she wolf

He doesn't understand what you said, and would like for you to repeat it.

[Exachix]

The She wolf looks at Kareia.

{Lupine}"One was told to pounce on you in greeting... will this suffice?"

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*the llama looks at Kareia* "ummm...what did she say?"

[Lykan]

The little white wolf repeats this message to Llama

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

"well..its not really much of a pounce, but being pounced by strange wolves kinda scares me. It'll suffice."

[Veg Sorbet]

Zilbipaetrum shuffles past the stand, and looks at Kareia with interest, then with pity, as he hears what she has to say. He fumbles around inside a carrying sling on his left hip, which appears to be similar to a bag of holding, as he pulls out a fairly large lump of raw metal ore which definately would not have fit inside, and places it before the wolf. It is probably worth about 500GP.

The tiny monk then smiles softly at the wolf, and says something totally incomprehensible, though he says it with a sympathetic tone. He then shuffles away.

The She-wolf sighs, curls up and goes to sleep.

He sniffs in a disgruntled manner, and returns to his nearby shop.

Smelling the massive concentration of gems, a folugub (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/monsters/folugub.htm) comes skittering over to the stand and attempts to do what giant green crystal eating bugs do best. Namely, dissolve and eat all those gems.

Being that all the gems are in a giant chest made of wood and stone, the bug is unsucccessfull

Since the bug is rather persistent it begins gnawing at the chest in a bid to chew through the thing and reach the luscious crystals within.

[Lykan]

Kareia spots the bug and lights it on fire.

[Rebonack]

It burns a fair bit before slumping over and dieing. Now everything smells like burnt beetle.

[Lykan]

Kareia moves the bug away before spraying air freshener everywhere.

[The_Librarian]

A green wolf passing nearby wrinkles his nose in distaste at the smell of burnt beetle. He stops and looks at the sign, and then wanders off again.

When he returns, he is carrying a rather chewed leather purse, which he upends on the street in a very similar manner to how he usually would in Trog's. There's about 50 silver pieces inside.

"It ain't much," the wolf says. "But it's a lot of bamhacons." Looking a little embarrassed, the wolf heads back towards the slums, muttering about diets.

Cassandra stops by and leaves a nice black diamond (no idea on worth...)

A wolf appears in a gust of wind. It puts down a small bag, which contains 7 emeralds (total worth 42000 gp) and two diamonds (20000 gp). It bows at Kareia, then runs off

100,000 in diamonds appears on the table, with a note from Kyrian, wishing them luck.

[Exachix]

Karsen stops by and dropps off about 5000 gp, and a note wishing luck.

Aesa appears and looks over everything, an emotionless expression on her face.
She drops off a very large sack and vanishes.

Within the sack one will find a large number of black opals of varying sizes and worths.
It totals to about 25,000 worth in gold pieces.

Kareia does the happy wolf dance again, looking rather cute despite the circumstances she's representing.

The wolf appears again and puts down another bag with a smile. This bag contains a handful of emeralds and a single diamond (total 74000gp). It looks up at Kareia and bows slightly I hope the fund goes well.

Deckard walks past the bowl, evidently not wanting to donate. The small doll on his shoulders perks up.

"Aww...I likes wolfies! Giddem some money!"

"The last diamond I got was due to a lot of hard work, and I'm not about to-"

The doll bursts into flame with ash-demon magic, scorching the back of his neck.

"I SAID GIDDEM DA MONEY!"

"GAAAAH! DAMMIT OW OW OW GYAAAAH! OKAY!"

His head still smoking, Deckard drops a 10,000 gp diamond into the bowl (That was the biggest I consider even POSSIBLY realistic for one donation). He grumbles through his scarf.

"Thank the little ass of a doll, not me."

[Fenric]

Fenric arrives again, and gives another 10,000 gp diamond. Then he leaves once more.

Shadowbow comes by and puts in a 100,000gp. About 10 minutes after he leaves, they become platinum pieces, and a note appears. It reads:
Consider this my donation for the next 10 days.

[Deadly]

Ilias appears and smiles at Kareia as he hands her a small bag of gems (100.000gp) I managed to gather some more gems, hope they help
