Anyone remember the old board game Diplomacy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomacy_(game))?

Is there (in order of preference):

An app version?

An on-line version?

A computer version (besides the old one from the early 90s)? I see the Paradox one but it gets bad reviews.

Thanks

I still have it in my game drawer. It's a lot of fun if you can find enough people to play.

About a decade ago, I played it online pretty regularly. There are some servers that auto-process turns submitted via e-mail using some specific syntax. The servers would send out e-mail reminders for deadlines, and helped keep the game moving.

There was (probably is) a website called Redscape that had a great online community for playing it as well. I just drifted away from it sometime around 2005.

Web Diplomacy (http://webdiplomacy.net/) is the biggest online client I know of.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

There were a few play-by-post versions here as well, but they died out within a few turns as people became inactive. The web version is really good. I played it a few times and burned out on wanting to play more, but I'd definitely recommend it if you miss the game.

There's Backstabbr (http://www.backstabbr.com), which is a pretty decent online app for the game. I've played a few games with friends through it, and it's pretty intuitive. Also let's you do some experimentation.
