Case Officer Class

Hi...

I am looking for a class that would resemble a HUMINT/Case officer. Someone with good social skills, and abilities, which would fit a guild who are looking for infiltraters and general knowledge brokers. Something like Jason Borne or the Merovindian, from the matrix.

So far I have found the Master Spy, to be the closest, but I still feel its missing the right social class abilities...

Any suggestions are fine.

D&D 3.5? Bard.

Done. It's basically the premise of the class.

Alter/Disguise Self, Invisibility, good combat abilities, great social skills... THE infiltrator class.



Pathfinder? Investigator. They've got it in their class name.

Rogue is a decent non-magical way to do this. Less powerful (because non-magical) but could work and it's simple. Then you can throw in one of the many rogue PrC's, maybe pick on that isn't terrible.
