Whats with all the dead catgirl references?

I believe it's a joke about bringing science into RPG's. Every time a physics argument is brought up a catgirl (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catgirl) dies.

Every time you try to bring talk of real world physics into D&D god kills a catgirl. Classic reference to a line actually uttered at a table.

They both do indeed. Not to mention I homebrewed the Keidren from the webcomic Twokinds, and I actually created catpeople who were physically identical to anime ones who were planetounched. mortals descended from Rakshasa

True enough, I suppose, but generally see the specific term used to reference the creatures described in someone's link above with D&D catfolk just called catfolk.

Though I guess now that I remember, Pathfinder Aasimar's have cat ears and cat eyes on their physical features table.

Catgirls obviously can't be an entire race, unless you assume they're parthogenic (very rare for mammals). "Catfolk" is the name of the race, the females of which may be referred to as "catgirls". In much the same way, D&D has no creature listed as "mermaid", instead listing "merfolk" (the females of which are mermaids).

I think that is close enough. Certainly closer than cat folk. Although.. there is a way to have a "cat girl" in pathfinder otherwise.

A human with Racial Heritage (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/racial-heritage) (Cat Folk). Fluff handles the rest.

The meme/term made it into urban dictionary in 2007:

Which is complete nonsense. We can make sheep glow blue like jellyfish, and humans still follow the basic structure of pretty much every mammal on the planet. We'd probably have catgirls if it wasn't considered unethical to genetically engineer humans. If anything, dead catgirls should referring to ethics rather than physics (well, biology).

Indeed - as far as I can tell this is the primary origin ("if you do X, god kills a kitten {where X is likely something board-inappropriate}") which then spread to discussing physics in anime ("and became god kills a catgirl") which then spread to physics in anything that is too abstract/fantastic/rule of cool for physics to have meaning, like D&D.

You know the 8th Prussian (von Prittwitz regiment) Hussar uniform? Black and silver? Skulls? Lots of lace?

But that said; any late 18th/early 19th century uniform would do.

I always hated the Russian Astrakhan Cuirassiers. Because they wore yellow.

Honestly. Yellow.

The only other unit I can think of that wore yellow was some Neapolitan cavalry regiment that was recruited exclusively from africans, because you need dark skin to pull off yellow. Show-offs.

Marlon Brando was Dr Moureau. He wore a champagne bucket on his head because he got too hot and it hid the tiny portable radio in his ear because he couldn't be bothered to memorize his lines.

dude you have no idea (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Island_of_Dr._Moreau_(1996_film)#Production) look at just any of that. one of the actors tried to physically escape from being in the movie.

its production was so difficult that there is a whole movie of its own (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Soul_(2014_film)) that catalogues its production history.

the only real entertainment that can be reaped from the movie is from edgar de la rosa, a dwarf who follows brando around, wears tiny versions of his clothes, and does the stuff he does, as seen below:

http://oglobo.globo.com/fotos/2006/10/23/23_MHG_cult_larosa.jpg
