Help with Rogue

Although I have some experience with previous edition I am new to 5ed and feel bit at loss what to do with with my character. Playing a lvl 10 Half Elf Assassin Rogue, took the Alert and Crossbow Expert feats. Not sure where to go after this, considering taking 1 lvl of fighter for archery fighting style and weapon proficiencies. After pumping my dex to 20 should I concentrate on any other stat or should I take more feats, and if so what to take?

I know in this edition there isn't a lot access to magical items but if I had a free pick what should I ought to get?

Note that my campaign could go all the way to lvl 20.

Someone, I apologize for not knowing who, made the death dealers handbook and they're are links to it in the guide section. Or Wotc. It basically an assassin battle master and it works ranged or melee and paints you the picture. Fighter gives you action surge and superiority dice which can also get criticaled if applied right. Really cool build.
