So, there's a webcomic which has won a huge lot of prizes, handles a mature subject and is now being republished on the Web.
The comic is called Mom's Cancer. I read it some years ago in the paperback version, and I found it impressive. It probably is one of those few webcomics in the Boulet - Digger group.
Even though it was written with people having direct or indirect experience with tumour in mind as a target, it is highly recommended for anyone. I even found it cited in some medical journals. It is a useful and beautiful read.
