Including Combat Maneuvers is there a way to teach an Animal Companion all of the tricks it could know?

Over in the PF Q&A thread there's -- this answer (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19427468&postcount=163) -- to the question.

Going Hunter (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/hybrid-classes/hunter) instead of Druid will get you 3 more bonus tricks, bringing the base number up to 16 (6 from 2 INT, 7 from Animal Companion, 3 from Hunter).
BUT "A hunter may teach her companion hunter's tricks from the skirmisher ranger archetype instead of standard tricks." which adds a lot more (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/ranger/archetypes/paizo---ranger-archetypes/skirmisher) than 3 tricks, so this kind of hurts more than it helps.

Wild Child (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/hybrid-classes/brawler/archetypes/paizo---brawler-archetypes/wild-child) Brawler's Maneuver Training can effectively get the Companion +5 tricks known.

By my count it Hunter adds, what 26? more, tricks to our total. I wonder though, Psyren mentioned that the Combat Maneuvers are hardly worth it as the Animal Companion will be less than proficient with them. Do these Hunter's Tricks suffer the same drawback?

Actually, what I said was "trying to learn all 10 of them is pointless because you will only have the feats and item slots to make 1-2 of them any good against CR-appropriate foes." So a more accurate statement would be "Psyren mentioned that more than 2 combat maneuvers are hardly worth it."

Thanks for clarifying. My apologies for mis-summarizing your statement.

Care to weigh in on how the Hunter Tricks compare to the Combat Maneuver tricks?

I'll have to go through them, but since they don't look like they require additional feats to have a decent chance of working they already have a leg up :smalltongue:

Yes, just not all at once, done through retraining. It's in the rules as an option, it'll cost you money and three days downtime though each time you want to mix things up.
