Ok, so what are powers that offer no save, no spell resistance, and are worth using at level 15? I plan on going Psion (unsure if I should cross class or go into a PrC), and am looking for the best powers to use (as well as an explanation on how to use them efficiently please).

Please note: I am allowed to optimize my character (was not given a limit except for nothing online like Mind's Eye and third party books).

So yeah, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Ok, so what are powers that offer no save, no spell resistance, and are worth using at level 15?

The only powers I can think of that follows all of these are crystal shard (1d6/PP, requires ranged touch attack) and swarm of crystals (1d4/PP, 15' cone).

I also direct you to this lovely handbook (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=5343.0).

The number of official powers is 740 (which includes almost 70 near-duplicates that have slight differences between versions) of which about 117 don't allow either PR or saves, by my count. That doesn't include ones which do not allow saves or PR for part of the power but do for another part, doesn't include ones that simply don't have a PR or Save entry, and also doesn't include any from Mind's Eye material.

Quite a few of which are very useful at 15th depending on what you want to do. Please be more specific. Are you looking for attacks, defense, helpful-useful, what?

Thanks for the handbook :)

And I'm looking for attacks, or anything to help hinder an opponent.

try these for starters, all official powers as per wotc:

alarm, psionic
anchor plane
animate plants/rope
astral construct
bite of tiger
blade of light
clairtangent hand
control air/light/object/sound/weather, psionic
crystal shard
detect x
dissolving touch/weapon
dissonant touch
dream beast
ectoplasmic swarm
energy nullification field
entangling ectoplasm
ethereal volley
fabricate, psionic / greater (use it for poison, gas, and similar)
far hand
force of mind
mass manipulation
matter rearrangement
molecular bonding (my personal favorite)
planar champion
power claws/weapon
primal fear
project quori spirit
psychic scimitar
quintessence

(oh, and poke around that forum while you are there, lots of useful psionic stuff.)

I've been gathering and bookmarking handbooks lately.

The handbook is extremely useful for power selection. In particular, this post (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=5343.msg76737#msg76737) in the handbook, which gives outstanding advice as to how to cover your bases. A quick excerpt:

Filling out our list of bases to cover, here is what we get:

Ranged attack roll: Crystalstorm (Psion 2), Disintegrate, Psionic (Psion 6)
Melee attack roll: Astral Construct (Shaper 1)
Targets Fortitude Save: Disintegrate, Psionic (Psion 6), Energy Wall (Psion 3)
Targets Reflex Save: Energy Wall (Psion 3), Amethyst Burst (Psion 2)
Targets Will Save: Time Hop (Psion 3)
Allows no Save: Crystalstorm (Psion 2)*
Not Subject to Spell Resistance or Power Resistance (SR/PR): Crystalstorm (Psion 2), Energy Wall (Psion 3), Amethyst Burst (Psion 2)
Area of Effect (particularly for fighting Swarms): Energy Wall (Psion 3), Astral Construct (Shaper 1)**, Amethyst Burst (Psion 2)
Force Effect (for fighting Incorporeal/Ethereal creatures): Amethyst Burst (Psion 2), Astral Construct (Shaper 1)**
Effective against Anti Magic Field/Null Psionics Field: Crystalstorm (Psion 2), Amethyst Burst (Psion 2)
Effective against Globe of Invulnerability: Disintegrate, Psionic (Psion 6)

* Crystalstorm allows no save against HP damage, but does against Con damage component of power.
** Only at high levels.

Boom, easy.

Also greater fabricate for crafting whatever the battlefield's made of into barriers / cages / holes / spikes for some battlefield control, a-la full metal alchemist

minor creation for can also be used offensively but it's harder to get around the longer casting time (unless Linked power is allowed at the table)

astral constructs can still pull their weight at higher levels, if you play without the C.Psi nerf

Alright, thank you everyone (those lists of powers were very helpful).

Last question: Should I go Psion 20, or would dipping/cross classing benefit me?

Last question: Should I go Psion 20, or would dipping/cross classing benefit me?This depends entirely on what you want out of it. Totemist 2/psion/soul manifester (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20060217a) is quite nice, if you focus on more melee-oriented stuff. Psion/crystal master (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040625d) has some definite perks going for it, especially in a low-wealth campaign. If you want to focus on astral constructs, psion/constructor (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040625b) is definitely the way to go.

Of course, if you're heading into epic, boost your manifester level prior to hitting 21, then start taking metamind, (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/prestigeClasses/metamind.htm) using the Practiced Manifester feat to shore up your manifester level. Metamind won't harm you too badly post-epic, and that capstone is to die for, especially if you combine with CPsi's Temporal Reiteration power for infinite power points all day long.

I unfortunately can only take metamind from those suggestions since the mind's eye has been banned. I usually take talented/Overchannel to raise my ML.

I usually take talented/Overchannel to raise my ML.You could try psion 20/thrallherd 1/metamind, then. Use your thrall as a mount, going with something both magical and mobile, such as a nightmare warlock 10 with the flight invocation, refluffed as this:

http://pre13.deviantart.net/b442/th/pre/i/2012/339/1/2/princess_luna_by_dalagar-d5n4v9p.png

Or you could optimize a little and go for warlock/binder/hellfire warlock.

Thrallherd was banned as well unfortunately since the DM said it is too broken.

And I'm trying to stay psionic since I want to see how well this type of power can do in higher levels.
