Claws of the Beast

I just looked this power up, and I swear it changed from the last time i looked.

There used to be a table that went up to 6d6 claws. Now... it is completely different, and it seems to violate the rules for size increases. Each increase only goes up by 1d6 forever.

Does anyone know when/why this was changed?

I don't recall whether or not the page had the table in the past, but I doubt it's changed at all given that the progression is identical to the 3.5 version of Claws of the Beast (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/clawsoftheBeast.htm). The power has always defied normal weapon damage progression based on size.
The Pathfinder version's switch to a mathematical description of scaling enables indefinite scaling based on size and manifester level, rather than the fixed progression of 3.5's chart.
