Terpsichorean Muse

Terpsichorean Muses are masters of dance, bards who have forsaken voice and instrument for the grace and elegance of dance. These dancers can inspire hope and heroism through elegant dance just as most bards can through song or poetry. The way of the Terpsichorean Muse was developed ages ago by a band of women who, rather than letting themselves be enslaved by an invading foe, elegantly and gracefully held off the enemy for as long as they could, before dancing off the edge of a cliff, killing themselves rather than submitting to slavery. As the legend goes, one woman survived the fall, and passed the on her secrets to aspiring young bards as she wandered the world.

Class Features
All the following are class features of the Terpsichorean Muse prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
You gain no additional weapon or armor proficiencies.

Spellcasting
Whenever you gain a new Terpsichorean Muse except 1st, you gain new spells per day and spells known as if you had also gained a level in an arcane spellcasting class you belonged to before you added the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained.

Bardic Music
Whenever you gain a new Terpsichorean Muse level, you gain new daily uses of bardic music as if you had also gained. You do not gain any of the Bard’s new bardic music abilities.

Inspiring Dance (Ex)
At 1st level, you gain the ability to inspire your allies through displays of dance. Whenever you use a Bardic Music ability, you may choose to dance, rather than using song or poetics. When dancing, you do not have to use a standard action to maintain the effect, but you must move at least 10 ft. each round to maintain the effect. In addition, while dancing, your speed is halved. Creatures do not need to be able to hear you for them to be affected while you are dancing, but they must be able to see you. While dancing, there is no chance that the effect fails if you are deaf, but you must be able to move freely to dance.

Twilight Waltz (Su)
At 2nd level, you learn the Twilight Waltz, a mystical dance that can wrap you and your allies in a cloak of shadows. You must have at least 10 ranks in Perform (Dance) to use this ability, and can only use it through dancing, not music or poetry. While using this ability, you and all allies within 60 ft. of you that can see you are cloaked in shadows, gaining a 10% miss chance. The miss chance improves to 15% at 5th level, and to 20% at 8th level.

Graceful Acrobatics (Ex)
At 3rd level, your mastery of dance and graceful movement allows you to move like a dancer no matter what you are doing. Choose four of the following skills: Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Swim, or Tumble. When using those skills, you may add your Charisma modifier instead of your Strength or Dexterity modifier.

Scoundrel’s Ballet (Su)
At 4th level, you learn the Scoundrel’s Ballet, a dance that mimics the evasive ducks and dodges of the most agile of rogues and thieves. You must have at least 12 ranks in Perform (Dance) to use this ability, and can only use it through dancing, not music or poetry. While using this ability, you and all allies within 60 ft. of you that can see you gain a +1 morale bonus on all Reflex saves, and gain the evasion special ability. If they already have the evasion ability, then they instead gain the improved evasion special ability. The morale bonus to saves increases to +2 at 7th level, and to +3 at 9th level.

War Dance of Terpsichore (Su)
At 6th level, you learn the War Dance of Terpsichore, a bold and lively dance that inspires you allies to feats of heroism and strength. You must have at least 14 ranks in Perform (Dance) to use this ability, and can only use it through dancing, not music or poetry. While using this ability, you and all allies within 60 ft. of you that can see you may add your Charisma bonus to their AC in place of their Dexterity modifier, if you Charisma modifier is higher. In addition, they may add your Charisma modifier, than their Strength modifier, on all attack damage rolls made with melee attacks.

Muse’s Call (Sp)
At 10th level, you learn to invoke the Muse’s Call, drawing your enemies into an inescapable dance alongside you. You must have at least 17 ranks in Perform (Dance) to use this ability, and can only use it through dancing, not music or poetry. While using this ability, one creature within 60 ft. of you that can see you must make a Will save, DC 10 + your class level + your Cha modifier, or begin dancing uncontrollably, as the irresitable dance spell. The effect lasts for as long as you dance, up to a maximum of 5 rounds. The Muse’s Call ability is a mind-affecting compulsion effect.

It's an interesting concept, but I'm no judge for balance. (It doesn't help that I was listening to Thriller at the time. Man, Michael jacksons got some pipes.)
