Assume you start with after racial attributes of 14, 14, 14, 13, 13, 13 put wherever. You've got a character who is above average in every regard, and knows it.

What classes would work with such an even stat spread? No specialising in a particular attribute after level 1. We want this guy/girl to be even across the board. (Example: At 12th level they have 14 in all stats)

Preferably we want the theme to run parallel to the character as well. Someone who is a jack of all trades and similar to the original design goals of the Factotum. The very definition of a fifth wheel.

I know that this game wasn't meant to be run without following standard WBL, but I would prefer it if the character did its job "organically" and without magic item use.

Don't you mean 14, 14, 14, 14, 15, 15? Remember, trying to keep an even stat spread.

And also trying to get it to work without magical item use. So, bar tomes and headbands and all that jazz we're looking at a straight Cleric who can cast, at level 20, level 5 spells. To me that doesn't seem like the character build is working as intended. Even if Cleric has a good chassis for a full caster.

Warlock, as I understand, would be a good class. As they can, apparently, run off 8's. Or 3's. Binders can do what they want, and even though these stats mean they won't be fantastic they'll still have their versatility intact.

You hadn't mentioned anything about racial modifiers.

Fair point.

Druid (3.5 version) 5/MoMF 10/Nature's Warrior 5 with 14s in Con, Int, and Wis. Wild Shape 14/day into animals, humanoids, giants, monstrous humanoids, fey, vermin, aberrations, plants, oozes, elementals, and dragons with up to 20 HD and between Diminutive and Gargantuan in size. Oh, and you get the extraordinary special qualities of your forms, plus whatever side benefits you pick from Nature's Warrior. Having a 14 in Wis isn't an issue since you only get 4th-level spells anyways.

True. I'll edit OP to make it more clear.

I completely overlooked Wildshape. Ugh, only problem is booking keeping. Oh well, that's the price you pay for abusing Wildshape.

Changeling Factotum 4/Warblade 1/Chameleon 10.

Do all the things. At once. Alternatively, run an Artificer and simply craft your things. They generally don't really need any ability score too much.
