I didn’t see a independence day thread so I thought I'd make one.

So happy fourth of July for everyone in the USA; and for those abroad, I pity you.

We may have plenty of problems, but it’s still the best country in the world to live in.

Any fireworks that wake me up after midnight better be accompanied by panicked screams for an ambulance. :smalltongue:

Aren't you three days late to celebrate? :smalltongue:

Nah, I kid. I've got friends and family in the states so I get to celebrate twice! (Plus two thanksgivings ) Happy Independence Day from Canada!

That's debatable; that said, I'd say even if it isn't, it's very close.

Of course it is.
Congratulations to your anniversary. :smallwink:

As already said, that's debatable, but nonetheless, I'm happy for your 4th of july.

I always figured every country had similar feelings of patriotic pride.

I just spent a lot of this weekend listening to different versions of the "Star Spangled Banner". I was surprised how good the Dixie Chicks version was.

The best country in the world to live in is your own. Take it from a migrant.

And if it's not, what are you still doing there?

Today I'm going to wish a happy Statehood Day (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statehood_Day_%28Montenegro%29) to our friends in Montenegro.
