Unearthed Arcana: When Armies Clash

Hey Playgrounders,

Unearthed Arcana: When Armies Clash(link (http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/unearthed-arcana-when-armies-clash)) is released. Opinions? I personally like the idea, and I was looking for something like this for my own campaign. However, I find a DC 10 Wisdom check for Morale a bit low, and I think that there should be a special unit: calvalry, because when they charge they do more damage and maybe destroy the morale.

Personally, I like the old Star Wars D6 way of handling mass conflict. The players participate as they choose and their side basically does as well as they do with their tasks being harder or easier based on the armies fighting. So, characters destroy the enemy supply depot and are spectacularly successful and the DM describes some rousing victories and heartbreaking defeats for their army.

I like it because there isn't really any bookkeeping, the focus is always on the party, and the players know it's all about them.
