The psion power Deja Vu is printed in the XPH twice. I wonder if its a joke?

It is. They also printed 'Has no sense of humour' twice in the random NPC traits table.

Actually, in the DMG. It goes 100: No sense of Humor (see #26)
THere is no number 26.

Yeah. Wizards is too scared to make outright jokes, for fear of people thinking they are too funny to be serious. So, they insert weird easter eggs. I'm sure there are alot more we have yet to notice.

There are a bunch in the illustrations in Complete Adventurer. The 3.0 DMG referenced Austin Powers.

Take a look at the WotC article about humor (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20051104a).

And how they used to be funnier then they are :smalltongue:

On page 115 of Complete Adventurer, the map on the wall is a map of Baldur's Gate from the video game. Page 159 has a d8 inside what appears to be a spell component box, as well as a tiny sword and two tiny arrows.

I don't know why, but this picture from Libris Mortis just has me rolling with laughter every time I see it. The caption says something about a lich having little to learn after an eternity of studying.

Wizards is funny. Think of all the kids who first bought pokemon cards from Wizards, then moved to Magic: The Gathering Cards, then moved to D&D, shelling out their allowance and most of their high school job's money to the same company for like 8 years.

I think that's wizard's favorite joke ever.

I can't believe they forgot the picture of the rust monster in that wizards article. Theres a rust monster standing there, and the full plate fighter kinda hops into the wizards arms like scooby-doo. i lol when i see it.

What particularly are you thinking of, or is there some hidden sarcasm or irony that I am missing?

I always heartily supported those bits of humor slipped into the books WotC makes - it fits right in with the general feeling of the game as long as it's generally hidden!
