@Tonel: It has been a week since you and your allies have deposed of Sarjon. The Mercy is, for lack of a better word...safe.
As safe as it can be, at least. Alexia's threat still looms around the entire city, not to mention the ever increasing reports of the Elysium Bliss.
Yet, as your allies train, investigate and sell whatever loot they have scavenged from such arduous days so long ago, your visits to Kayla, humble priestess of Heironeous increase as the young barrister reviews your paperwork day after day day.
Until one morning...
Father Carth! It is I, Kayla. They are ready to meet with you. Please meet me at the Palace of Justice.
The ride from the Mercy to the Palace District seems eternal as masses of people have congregated outside the ominous Palace of Justice.
Kayla had mentioned that there would be a Conclave, a meeting of the Leaders of the Church to elect a new member into their fold. This draws all the faithful in Halmathan to the main square. Usually, it is done in abject secrecy, but years have changed these traditions and now, whenever such a magnanimous event is to take place, it is broadcast citywide.
The Royal Guards escort you to the steps leading to the Palace of Justiuce, with lady Callewyn Godefroy leading the march astride a white horse as thousands crowd around the streets, with votive candles in their hands while Ronald shakes on your back.
Kayla meets you at the door and bows as the guards stand in front of the great archway and block entrance from the rest.
Inside, you are lead to the Room of Law, where Grand Inquisitor Connor of the Cudgel sits atop his grand golden throne, winged, as always.
Highfather Jace sits upon the high pulpits as well, his halo as golden as ever as he nods respectfully.
Father Bhagazzin is here as well, seated at the same height as Jace and crosses his arms and nods as you come in.
Sir Randolph stands on the ground level and greets the neophyte with a heavy book in his hand, which bears the Halmathan crest- the Coiled Dragon.
Mother Katherine the Temperate is also here, seated on the high pulpits and nods upon you entering, as a monocle p[laces on her left eye and adjust with a low whirr.
Finally, Lady Silvarel is here as well, with her green tunic and auburn hair, who smiles and bows respectfully to you.
Connor, from astride his magnificent throne, looks down upon you as a large Eye of God window allows heavenly light to enter into the room.
"Father Borazon Ironfoot. You have been summoned to this Conclave of Church Elders of the Glorious City of Halmathan, City of Power. Home to the Airdan Throne. You have expressed your desire to become a Leader of Faith in our City and in doing so, to be recognized as one, adopting our Halmathan customs and bringing Phaulkon's Suel Mercy to our Kingdom..."
Connor looks at you from his golden throne and raises a bushy eyebrow.
"Are these statements true, Father Ironfoot?"
