WoW.
You know, I'm pretty sure Elan got a natural twenty on his perform roll (20 + 15(ranks) +4(charisma) +X(circunstance)).
In a gaming group I play a similar perform check attractect the gods thenselves to see. I'm pretty sure this should be the case.

Inspiring your allies through bard song doesn't actually require a performance check, oddly enough. So there would be no way for him to get that as he didn't actually roll it.

This was not an inspiration song, it was a song dedicated to a friend fell in battle. That is was quite inspiring is another thing.

He was using the class ability, bard song; which, like I said, doesn't involve a performance check.

It's his first successful song, possibly ever. Things are looking up for Elan.
