Heya, y'all,

I recently created a new character, a swashbuckler focused on rapier fighting and intimidation. I am quite happy with the result of my work, but knowing the playground, I know that many people on here enjoy mulling over a build and criticising it, so I guess I'll let you guys have a bash. Please enjoy and tell me if you know anything I might make differently for additional cool and/or awesome effects.

Also, sorry for the strange format of the skills, the bold numbers are the ones that count.

Is this Pathfinder?

Edit: it looks like Pathfinder, which I have very limited experience with. My suggestions would have been Swashbuckler 3/Thug Fighter X with the Zhentarim sub levels. Make sure to build in Never Outnumbered and Imperious Command. Or just dumping the Swashbuckler class (sorry!) and going Factotum X, also aiming towards Imperious Command and Never Outnumbered.

Yes, this is indeed pathfinder.

Your skills table isn't working for me--it's a mass of code with a few numbers mixed in.

For the level, I'd say your AC is quite high while your Fort and Will saves are quite low. Things that target your Fort and Will tend to hurt you very badly when you miss a save, so I'd recommend reducing the enhancement bonus on the armor or shield by 1 and increasing the resistance bonus on the cloak of resistance by 1.

Yeah, that's the format of the other board. Just read the skill names and the bold numbers. The skills aren't that important, anyway, except Intimidate 27! :D

I'm hoping that charmed life might help out here. But yeah, maybe I should drop the buckler to +1 and raise the cloak to +2.

Charmed life let's me raise my save for the value of my charisma modifier 4 times per day. (Which would be +4 atm).

I'm not familiar with it. Does it require an immediate action? If you can always do it, that's pretty decent. If it's not available when flat-footed or when you've used your swift/immediate, less so.

It is an immediate action, so it's not perfect, but still usefull.

I think the choice would lean on what you know about your DM, then. If you have good situational coverage for saving throws and your DM prefers martial threats, going all-in on Armor Class may make a lot of sense.

We are playing a module, so I guess it will be an equal mix. Considering that, I will make the switch mentioned earlier. My defense should be good enough, especially since I can parry and riposte, too, and my enemies will spend most of their time at -4 to everything.
