Help finding a monster

Hey guys/gals, can anyone point me to a monster that invades a host body and controls it? I am not looking for a controller that dominates a monster and controls it from a distance, but something that latches on and controls its host.

I knew of a few in D&D 3.5, but have been unlucky in finding one in Pathfinder.

I am not too worried about the host being alive after the inhabitation.

I am running my group through a campaign arc modeled after Demon Death Chase, the third Vampire Hunter D novel. I already made Benge, Caroline, Myerling, and Carmilla. Mashira was giving me the greatest difficulty.

Mashira is a creature similar to Carbuncle in that they merge with a host, but Mashira actually controls his host body and can command it even if the body is dead for as long as it can function. I just needed a few examples of parasitic controlling monsters to use either as Mashira or as a base to create him as a custom monster
