The Aolis
The Aolis is a small race of fearless acrobats, though they are not actually more nimble than the average human. They are natural born performers, and can often perform feats of acrobatics that amaze and amuse the masses.

+2 racial bonus on Tumble checks, and Tumble is always a class skill. Aolis are skilled at making even a failed acrobatic stunt look planned.

Fluffy goodness -

Personality - Aolis are very outgoing people, and often can be found the friends of many people. Despite multiple tries, however, they tend to fail as diplomats, as they are normally rather impulsive, and would rather have fun than discuss politics. They are fun loving, energetic creatures who are naturally acrobatic, partly due to their small size.

Physical Description - Smaller than humans, yet larger than Halflings, these cretures could almost be a racial crossbreading between the two. They stand bout 4 ft tall on average, weaighing around 50 lbs. There is no noticable difference between the male and female Aolis. They are generally good looking, with stunning eye colors (such as bright blues, deep greens, and bright reds or golden yellows are not all too uncommon). They normally have blonde or brown hair, though they occasionally feel the need to magically or mundanely alter their hair color for any number of reasons.

Relations - Like Halflings, the Aolis tend to get along well with most other peoples, though they tend to rub the wrong way with the more lawful people. Also, some Gnomes dislike the Aolis, due to their love for music rather than the Aolis love of acrobatics. This is a strange quarrel, however, that occasional erupts in competitions for attention between the two races (but never actual violence).

Alignment - Usually Chaotic, with a strong tendency towards good. Evil Aolis are very rare, and many turn to theivery using their acrobatic talents (their Chaotic nature, however, makes planning more complex thievery difficult).

Lands - Like Halflings, the Aolis are natural travellers, though often by choice. Some can be found travelling with Halflings, but more commonly they are found in their own caravans, which oftentime function like small circusses.

Religion - Though no diety claims full creatorship of the Aolis, it is believe that they were created as a collaberative effort by both Ollidamara and Fharlanghn (though, some scholars believe Yondalla gave certain notes).

Languages - Common is the base language for the Aolis, with many knowing Sylvan and Halfling for better travels.

Names - Names are chosen in a chaotic manner, and, normally borowed from famous performers, heros, or good friends. These names may be taken from people of any race (even savage ones, if the Aolis parents enjoy the creature). They normally only have one name, which gains titles over the course of his life (which one the Aolis uses is purely up to him.)

Adventures - The Aolis sometimes feel the urge to travel away from performance halls or circusses, and often join up with adventurers so they can practice they acrobatics around the world, and hopefull make a name for themselves.

There, that's better. That wasn't so hard, was it? Good boy.

No seriously, not bad. It still needs more to be an option players would choose, but it's a start.

I like the race but I would make it preferred class - any. The race may choose a preferred class at first level.

They don't have a lot of weird powers going for them and the increased flexibility would draw players.

They remind me of the Vistani (Ravenloft) or traveling gypsies.
