Compare Today's comic (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0446.html) with this one (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0419.html). It's her I tell you. Tsikuko is Sabine I say. The way they try to seduce ... things is the same.

How can it be her since she was inside an anti-magic cell: If shapechanging was an innate ability, it wouldn't be affected and thus should could make herself look like the other girl and simply knock her out before the guards walk in and ask for Tsikuko to come with them.

Disclaimer: All my theories, for both Erfworld and OotS have thusfar turned out incorrect so feel free to dismiss this as the rantings of a mad man.

Also Sabine is one of the three unnaccounted for prisoners that are not mentioned to Hinjo... and shapeshifting is SU and therefore affected by anti-magic... sorry but you are flat out WRONG...

Also, Sabine doesn't have the spells that we see Tsukiko using. We see her use some form(s) of a ray shooting damage spell, and she can fly, which Sabine cannot do without unveiling her wings (I presume).

Furthermore, Sabine, although able to shapeshift, has only ever shifted to a humanoid form of the same skin tone, as seen when she changes to a hooker in AC, a cop in Cliffport, and even when she specifically emulates a white-skinned gnome in that small town.

it's not as ludicrious as some theories, it's actually possible.

Hooker?

But yeah, that's pretty much the best evidence. Aside from, y'know, the spells. And the flying. And the fact that there's absolutely nothing indicating she's Sabine at all. Horniness doesn't count.

Mm. I think the eyes give it away for me. Sabine wouldn't go for the eyes. Not her style...

Still, I like the new girl.

Hooker?

He's talking about the geisha. The guard's wink at her implies that she may have lived up to her role as incarnation of illicit sex.

Anyway, Tsukiko's just your average necrophiliac necromancer. Sabine always sticks with the red clothes, black hair, brown skin color pallette. Tsukiko has a different set of skills, and there's no way Sabine would keep that kind of power a secret from Nale. The guard mentions that three prisoners were not on the records in the comic in which Tsukiko appears, and three unrecorded prisoners are already accounted for (Nale, Sabine, and Thog). Tsukiko is on the record as having performed Unnatural Acts of Wizardry (and apparently other "Unnatural Acts"), meaning that Azure City already knows who she is and had imprisoned her prior to Sabine's incarceration. Tsukiko already has an Evil Resume on her person, and while Xykon probably wouldn't notice a forged resume, nobody in DnD ever takes the Forgery skill. Tsukiko can animate the dead (or else she's stupid enough to lie to a nigh-epic lich sorceror), and Sabine's been around plenty of corpses in Cliffport that she didn't bother bringing back as foul creatures of unlife.

In short, Tsukiko's a new character.
Probably Haley's mom...

Hooker?

Back then someone made a post lauding Rich's attention to detail with making Sabine's kimino bow in AC form on the front instead of the back, which apparently is a traditional prostitute thing to do in Japan. With the guard's wink, Sabine being a sex demon, and Belkar's "Sup, ho'" comment, it makes perfect sense, too. But I wouldn't have known without that post.

That's the closest thing to a compliment I've heard about any of my comments thus far. Thank you.

This was a better theory than I gave it credit for when reading the thread title - nice try DMcCoY.

The debunking seems pretty spot on though: we've got some canny folks here all right (says a lot about how precise the comic is that we can be so accurate about these things, though. Damn, Rich has his attention-to-detail skill maxed out).

One question, we see this girl with Hinjo, and then we see Sabrine in an anti magic cell? how does that work out?

Haley has it. She forges a resume in Origin.

I'm certain it's not Sabine. Sabine definitely doesn't have that much magic power and she loves to theme her looks.

hmm slightly offtopic but, just noticed that Nale says in 365 that the only one that he could fool forever was belkar, and it is he who first realise it^^ wich ofcourse leads to the strip that made me laugh the most(Atleast now i can get back to enjoying my glass of elven wine in peace and quiet, without being called on to intervene in someone else's problems........."cland, clang, clang goes the trolley! ring, ring ,ring goes the bell!"git away from me, ye draft fool!")

This isn't entirely unplausable. Firstly, Sabine went back to the lower planes with information about the gateways so she would theoretically be willing to ally herself with Xykon to get access to them. Appearing in her natural form could have been a bad idea since everyone knows that devils and demons aren't exactly trustworthy so it would make sense that she'd appear in a form that wouldn't arouse suspicion and which would have a chance of getting close enough to make an offer to him. The anti-magic cell wouldn't stop Thog's rage ability and we've seen he can rip a cell door off of it's hinges when he is enraged. From there, Sabine could have made her escape. This is a bit of a stretch admittedly since they are right next to Miko who would have raised an alarm.

The odd thing though is that the "unnatural acts of wizardry" girl cast inflict critical wounds - but I thought that was a cleric only spell. Unless she's dual classed as a cleric/mage of some sort.

Finally, might I point out that the paladins seem to have made a really bad choice in recruiting the prisoners to help? Out of the three who accepted, only Belkar hasn't turned on them and that's because of the mark of justice and the fact that he has plenty of hobgoblins to occupy his time.

How much forgery skill does it take to show someone a resume that you were supposed to have written in the first place?

This is indeed very true, but in a time of war when you're lacking in manpower and resources, you take whatever help you can get. The prisoners apparently each had a hefty chunk of XP under their belt, and Hinjo was in dire need of high-level people to help defend the city. He may have underestimated their inherent evil nature, but under the circumstances I would probably have done the same thing.

If there had been time(and there probably wasn't) to place Marks on each of them to prevent their treason, it might have been a good idea... but that's pretty much a moot point now.

She's a mystic theurge, as she explicitly (hem hem) tells Xykon in 446.
