Something's bugged me ever since they released the official Zelda timeline. Why did they include a THIRD split? The argument that it's just the usual multiverse theory excuse doesn't hold with me, because then there would be a lot more than just three timelines, right? But I've come to a conclusion, one that I REALLY hope Nintendo has in mind as well and makes a game around such an event: Someone went back in time and prevented the Hero of Time from defeating Ganon. The first split was caused by Link going back after defeating Ganon and changing the past so that Ganondorf was executed before he reached the Sacred Realm...so it makes perfect sense that the other split was also caused by someone changing the past!
Nintendo! Make it a game to stop whoever changed the past there! Not FROM changing the past, but whatever his designs that needed him/her to do that involve. THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME. Sorry if you guys have heard this one before.
