So, one of my players is a ranger, and her animal companion is a Carnivorous Llama named Carl, totally expy from Llama's with hats
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49j6_uk0g3k and she roleplays it really well. The party is going to be passing the site of a mass grave/body pile, and I figured I could have the bodies meld into a meat dragon as a reward for her roleplaying.
The party is level 12, and consists of a switch hitter ranger, weapon adept monk, generalist wizard, paladin/grand marshall, brawler/rogue/duelist, melee heavy warpriest, and reach bloodrager. Assume decent optimization, some more than others but nothing pathetically weak or ungodly game breaking.
I was thinking of using a clockwork-dragon (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/constructs/clockwork/clockwork-dragon) but change the body to flesh, the DR to something else(could use help here) the resistance and breath attack to acid, and the vulnerability to fire. So it is not a one big monster encounter, I plan to have some flesh golems (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/constructs/golem/golem-flesh) (2-3, maybe more or less?) as speedbumps and meatshields. Maybe an alchemical embalming golem (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/constructs/golem/golem-alchemical/golem-alchemical-embalming) as well.
The party is on a riverboat, and will pass by this with about 30' of flat water between them and the shore. Mass grave/body pile maybe another 10' from shore. No other major environmental factors.
Any tips on how to make a better meat dragon? I am open to other monsters, including non dragons if they better fit the theme. The mass bodies are the excess remains of an alchemist's dark experiments, so I would favor a construct and preferably not an undead, as the paladin/warpriest will end the fight before it begins. Also, any tips on the encounter design, mechanics etc.
Thanks!
