Since my last post i've been trying to build an acceptable charisma based, anti-mage themed gish. This is what i got so far, only rules were no Unearthed Arcana stuff, no divine classes and chaotic allignment. Some 3.0 stuff is allowed as well. Any advice is very much appreciated, and what I'm really missing here are anti-magic oriented spells / feats, as well as stats. Tough first few lvls expected and accepted.

Build goes:
Hexblade 2 / Sorcerer 4 / Spellsword 1 / Abjurant Champion 5 / Witch Hunter 2 / Unseen Seer 6
(witch hunter is from 3.0's oriental adventures)

It gets to +16 BAB and CL 17, so no 9th level magic, but it's the price of adding charisma twice to saves vs spells, as 2 lvls of hexblade are needed and the first witch hunter lvl doesn't advance spellcasting. Ideally it will fight with a Thunderlance once it's available (lvl 10 i think), so to reduce MAD.

I feel it can be pushed a little further as it is my first attempt to (sort of) optimize a character, and i have near to no experience in high levels gameplay. Also, there might be a more useful alternative to Unseen Seer, since the bonus sneak attack damage is currently wasted ( tho the divination bonuses + perma nondetection seems cool)

Here's the progression:

1 hexblade 1: bab 1 + curse once per day
3 hexblade 2: bab 2 + (cha to saves vs spells)
2 sorcerer 1: bab 2, sorc lvl 1 + (metamagic specialist maybe)
4 sorcerer 2: bab 3, sorc lvl 2
5 sorcerer 3: bab 3, sorc lvl 3
6 sorcerer 4: bab 4, sorc lvl 4
7 spellsword 1: bab 5, sorc lvl 5
8 abj champion 1: bab 6, sorc lvl 6
9 abj champion 2: bab 7, sorc lvl 7
10 abj champion 3: bab 8, sorc lvl 8
11 abj champion 4: bab 9, sorc lvl 9
12 abj champion 5: bab 10 sorc lvl 10
13 witch hunter 1: bab 11, sorc lvl 10 (cha to saves)
14 witch hunter 2: bab 12, sorc lvl 11
20 unseen seer 1: bab 12, sorc lvl 12
20 unseen seer 2: bab 13, sorc lvl 13
20 unseen seer 3: bab 14, sorc lvl 14
20 unseen seer 4: bab 15, sorc lvl 15
20 unseen seer 5: bab 15, sorc lvl 16
20 unseen seer 6: bab 16, sorc lvl 17

And the PrC reqs
spellsword: (bab 4, competence with martial weapons, knowledge arcana 6, cast 2nd level spells)
abj champion: (bab 5, competence with 1 martial weapon, cast 1st lvl spells, combat casting)
witch hunter: ( 10 knowledge arcana, track)
unseen seer: (stealth 8, perception 8, spellcraft 4, sense motive 4)

feats:
1 ?
3 ?
6 combat casting
9 ?
12 track
15 ?
18 ?

feats i've been thinking about:

arcane strike
combat reflexes
practiced spellcaster
minor shapeshift
power attack

an alternative would be a:
Fighter 1 / Sorc 6 / Spellsword 1 / Abjurant Champ 5 / Witch Hunter 2 / Unseen Seer 4 / Dragonslayer 1

which would need dodge and iron will feats as well and would get up to BAB 16, CL 18. So it would trade one feat (gets one from fighter), charisma bonus to saves vs spells, hexblade's curse and free nondetection, for one 9th level spell and an aura of courage. It doesn't look like good business really.

Hexblade doesn't have armor proficiencies for Spellsword.

Honestly, Battle Sorcerer/Abjurant Champion is usually just better than Paladin/Sorc/Spellsword - same BA for every level past 3, easier armored casting, a free feat if you would otherwise use Practiced Spellcaster and a full level higher spell access.

Just Fighter isn't the worst if you want to crank your saves. Complete Champion's ACF lets you convert BA into Will as an immediate action, and Steadfast Determination can get some mileage with your Fort.

just noticed, my heart is so broken now... I was really happy with having 2xcha to saves.

I'll have to look for a way to solve this. Investing 2 feats in armor proficiencies seems a bit un-optimal to say the least. Thanks for pointing that out, you've saved me a hugue headache in the near future.

You can get Iron Will from the Otyugh Hole in Complete Scoundrel without spending a feat on it. There are a few feats that can be substituted for Dodge, such as Expeditious Dodge in RotW and Midnight Dodge in MoI.

The greatest reason to use Paladin with a Sorcerer Gish is not just for Cha synergy, the good alignment synergy is a huge part of it.

The Ancestral Relic Runestaff (www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?267805-Sorcerer-Handbook#4) trick requires a good alignment.

Luminous Armor benefits from Abjurant Champion and can be cast either via Arcane Preparation (feat) or by being placed on your Runestaff, and can only be cast on a good-aligned creature. Get a Rod of Bodily Restoration in MIC to fix the Str damage that occurs when (Greater) Luminous Armor ends.

Sacred Exorcist has tons of synergy, on top of giving you the BAB and spellcasting advancement required to make it to +16 and 9ths by 20th. You can make your character an Illumian in Races of Destiny with the Naenhoon runeword to spend turn undead attempts to persist two spells per day, such as Wraithstrike, Greater Invisibility, Draconic Polymorph, etc. You can put Dismissal on your runestaff and qualify without spending a spell known, and once it gets Dispel Evil it meets its own prerequisite for you. Its Consecrated Presence class feature allows you to swap the spells on your Runestaff anywhere at any time.
