Banjo. with no followers managed a visable smite..( and might have caught Roy's hair on fire if he had any)
so prehaps Banjo shall rez Roy in exchange for a quest?

Although this comic has been surreal at times, I think that a gag like this might strain the fine balance Rich's creation walks between engaging story and metagame humor. After all, the comic still operates on the central premises of the D&D universe. A newly minted god with only a single (questionable) worshipper probably can't grant access to 5th level spells.

A 'visible smite?' puh-lease... I've picked up more static electricity from a cheap carpet than Banjo managed to 'unleash' on Roy. I don't think Banjo has the deitetic ability to raise bread, let alone raise dead.

God knows how many random clerics have accidently wound up talking to him with Contact Other Plane. He might have a reasonably large amount of worship, although the Elan and Banjo may not be aware of this.

The only reason Banjo got that far is because his only follower also happened to be a 9-10th-level Bard (now a startling Bard 12/Dashing Swordsman 1) who is more devout than an intelligent holy symbol.

I think Roy is more likely to be raised by the Almighty and Benevolent Kermit D. Frog than by Banjo, but that's just my opinion. :smalltongue:

Then again...

*gasp*

Maybe Kermit is Banjo in mortal guise?!?
